First there's no point in killing you here, cos its an open forum, and everyone is free to put forward their opinions in a positive way and carry out a healthy discussion, and you have managed to put forward your points in a quite convincing mannner just as a normal viewer.
Well, I own that the story has got certain shortcomings which is the subject of such diverse opinions, but ultimately its an entertainment show with few elements of social message inbibed in it.
I would like to present a few points based on what you presented:
1. Harman demanding a share in the property shouldn't be judged as a wrong move, cos he too has got few rights on his father's property and has contributed to the same by working for it. It would have been much more easier for him to leave the house with somu and got away, but he knows that this will definately upset somu and will surely oppose the same. So to fight against the injustice done to somu, he has took a different turn and asked for a partition so, which he knows would not take place, just to ensure somu's security in future and warn his family not to torture her anymore. Although his decision has been taken by many as a negative one, for me its just a step by him to safeguard his love from those inhumanly treatments.
2. No comments on surbhi, cos for me she doesn't exist in the show and I always hate her no matter how good she is. So to avoid any bad comments, I prefer staying quite in this section!
3. Harman's love for somu has gone through several phases from attraction to love to friendship+care to self realisation of true love overcoming her truth of being a kinnar. He now considers her as a beautiful person, unlike on intial days where he used to get irked with her presence and her talks. He gradually discovered her personality and fell in love with her and that has bought several changes in his character as well. So I don't find anything wrong in the depiction of their story.
4. Preeto's character including the other housemates are just reflections of the the real world which is filled with people with shallow mindsets who couldn't accept somu in their world. Though the drama to showcase this goes a bit OTT, but its a reality served with some masala to add entertainment.
