Sabita a baby won't change the equation between Ishwari and Sona. What we are seeing is a temporary effect of Ishwari's attraction to Dev's unborn child, she is actually taking care of the baby. The day that child is born, Sona will be back to square one. Perhaps more complicated then now, as Ishwari would complain of Sona not giving her the child to take care but instead she is doing what Ishwari as the mother of Dev always dreamt of doing and she has loads of FB's to prove her point. Well a future which we don't/won't see here.

Say she shows her real face to Dev than what? Scenario 1 Dev supports Sona but is disappointed in Easwari then how is the relationship going to mend is Easwari going to support Sona even if she does not have a child?
Scenario 2 What if Dev empathizes with both Easwari and Sona where he is unhappy because he couldn't make both the woman in his life happy where does the story go?

In all this what about Sona? If she is accepted in spite of her condition after she knows Easwari true colors can the relationship between her and Easwari be the same?. What if she has a child later and Easwari is accepting what happens to their relationship?.

My view this is a very sensitive topic that if not dealt carefully can leave a very bad taste and the makers could have found some other way for this insecurity to be addressed..again just my opinion.

In yesterday's episode when Ishwari talks to Dev and thanks him, she once again makes everything about her. For Ishwari it is about having a new title daadi similar to how others in society are respected. Sonakshi is just a means to an end for that. From Ishwari's perspective, she wanted to get out of poverty, Dev made it happen by by building the "Ishwari Enterprises" empire. Now when she asked for a baby, Dev made it happen via Sonakshi. For her it is nothing more than that. Sonakshi is just a means to an end. All her care, love is for that unborn baby which will give her the title daadi maybe even give her a chance to relive Dev's childhood in the sense that provide the baby with all that she wanted to give Dev but could not due to lack of finances. Once the baby is born or if she gets to know the truth regarding Sonakshi's condition all her care, love will take a 360 turn. But that is Ishwari!!!

When Ishwari was faced with the situation of poverty, all she wanted at that time was a way to get out of that. At that time the solution she saw was Dev. For Ishwari to make her dreams a reality, she needed Dev to be focused only on that and not have any other wishes, choices of his own. For that she created this bond where always mirrored her choices, wishes and dreams as his own. In other words, she molded Dev to be her "alter ego". . If you watch the beginning episodes, it is very clear that Dev was an alter ego who fulfilled everything that Ishwari felt or dreamt.

What Dev ate to what he wore were all decided by Ishwari and Dev never said otherwise. This gave the delusion to Ishwari that she knows Dev. In reality, she does not really know Dev. She only knows Dev Dixit whom she has created, who projected what Ishwari wanted to see... Dev was happy with this as he did not know any better. It also helped him in creating a cynical world view for himself, where he used money or power to buy whatever his mom wished for. Even if what she wanted was not right, it did not really make much of a difference to Dev as he never thought of right or wrong in reference to her.

The more Dev followed everything that Ishwari wished, the more Ishwari became complacent with the power she got. Maamaji has also fueled it by constantly saying that she is the greatest mother and she deserves all the accolades she gets. Ishwari is now blinded by her own pride to the extent she actually thinks she is GOD for Dev, who will do everything she says without questions.

When Dev met Sonakshi, he was surprised to meet a person who was unwilling to bow down to his money and power. I mean he had seen a senior doctor like Dr. Sinha drop everything when he asked for it. Ex - When Dev walks into the room where Dr. Sinha is having a meeting, Dr. Sinha does not ask Dev to wait. Instead he asks the other people to wait. But when Dev does the same thing with Sonakshi, she actually asks him to wait stating that she is with a patient and does not give him any special treatment. This was something very different than what he had experienced his whole life till then. This is what attracted him to her. For the first time in his life he started to feel himself and not that alter ego. It is very clearly shown in the scene of Power Cut episode where he starts laughing in the dark, but stops abruptly once the power comes on.

The more Dev got to know Sonakshi, the more he did not want to be just Dev Dixit anymore. He wanted to be Dev too who has dreams, wishes, wants of his own. He wanted to have a life with Sonakshi. When Ishwari saw Dev express this wish, she panicked. She could not understand how this happened. I mean how Dev would want a different life than what she wanted. But she could not ask that question too. Hence she accepted when Dev first told her about Sonakshi. Dev at that time knew only of what Ishwari had always told him. Like "tum apne liye bhi kush rahe", "tere har faisle mein, main tere saath hoon", etc... Hence he assumed that once he told about Sonakshi, Ishwari would love Sonakshi like he did. But what he saw happening changed his views (the picture fiasco before the break up). At that time Sonakshi asked him not to try to force fit her to his family and that she would make that effort from her side... But before anything else could happen, Dev found his mom had taken the pills and that she did not like him being with Sonakshi.

Dev really loves him mom. He cannot live with himself if he feels he has hurt her. He is also someone for whom his mom's wishes fulfillment is an autopilot option. Hence he made that decision to let go of his love to Sonakshi. He thought he would go back to being Dev Dixit, Ishwari's alter ego. But he could not forget the freedom Sonakshi's love gave him. Where he could be Dev and not Dev Dixit all the time. This led him to do all the things he did.

In that episode where Ishwari witnesses Dev telling Sonakshi the depth of his love, she still does not want to acknowledge it. Once Sonakshi leaves, Ishwari goes back to her shell of everything will be fine now. Only when Dev asks her that question of why took the pills and maamaji saying that she alone was responsible for Dev's condition brought Ishwari out of her cocoon. Immediately she set out to get back her image of great mother. Went out of her way to accommodate Dev's wishes and make him happy.

Once the wedding was done, she once again could not really accept Sonakshi. It was made very clear on the first night itself. It not only shocked Sonakshi, but Dev too. But for Dev the remembrance of last time he tried to force fit Sonaakshi was fresh too. He thought as time passed, Ishwari would accept Sonakshi for her own as her daughter instead of as just the DIL. If was clutching at straws before with just having Sonakshi in his life, he now feels lie he has been given a stick to hold on to with this baby news. He knows that Ishwari's love is conditional and all her care is dependent on Sonakshi giving that baby.

Dev has turned to be hopeful with having Sonakshi in his life. When Ishwari spoke about the baby, he did not say anything about his happiness of being a dad. He talked about his happiness in Ishwari accepting Sonakshi, her love and care for her. He is now fishing for time. He wants Sonakshi to have enough time to make that place in Ishwari's heart that when the news comes out that either Sonakshi is not pregnant or had miscarriage, Ishwari would still continue to love her.

But Ishwari is not like that. She is easily affected by maamiji and Neha's words. She will take a 360 turn and end up hurting both Dev and Sonakshi. She will hurt Sonakshi directly and Dev indirectly.

Earlier Dev could leave Sonakshi because he did not have empathy. He could not really understand her feelings. But now that he has learnt empathy, even if it is just with Sonakshi for now, he cannot leave Sonakshi, nor can see her hurt by his own family. He will start to voice his wishes, his dreams, his choices, maybe in small way at first. But when he finally comes across prenup, it will act as the last nail on the coffin of Ishwari's faade. What Dev has already accepted sub consciously, he will acknowledge it consciously. He will still love his mother, but not as god. He will finally accept that the sacrifices her mom made are similar to what most parents do and his mom is a human too...

There will begin the journey of both Dev and Ishwari in really accepting Sonakshi in their lives...

I am seriously looking forward to this track.

I find it typical in laws mentality where they feel outsider has been brought in house just for new production. In short women are machines to produce kids.
