Though Maya seems composed and completely put together we know that Maya disturbed on many levels inside due to her horrific past. Generally people in these cases never truly recover. But try and live the fullest while conquering demons within.
The way I see it, Arjun's love will eventually represent the darkness in her life. But I hope through this darkness, she finds light on the other side.
As she crosses lines to get Arjun and then keep him, the darkness inside will continue to grow. She will become more and more disturbed as the chaos grows within. She will give in to the demons within

But I hope Maya finds peace within herself and not in Arjun after going through hell for him. Because that will never be true peace. It will always be dependent on Arjun. I hope that Arjun is the way she finds peace within and not the person who gives her peace.
If this means Arjun and Maya not ending up together then sure. Or they have a long break in between before coming together in the end. But Maya needs to find happiness within.
