I was quite an avid fan of reality TV programming such as Big Boss (India) & Big Brother (UK) and it was somewhat down to the actual idea of how human psyche works if it was completely isolated from the actual external world within a controlled environment. There is an element of the real personality of each person coming out and also watching others evolve & adapt as days go by. This whole concept was intriguing to watch especially if only a degree of manipulation & direction is involved.
The issue I have with Big Boss is how it has become completely commercialized and moved away from the original purpose of the programme to a mere "Comedy" house. The house is just a revolving door of magicians, Film promoters, wildcard entries etc.
The whole show needs to be brought back to the root of its conception where if you as a participant have any contact with the outside world you should not be allowed back in regardless of circumstances. Some instances which have taken place which should render a participant unable to return:
-Baba-Legal issue
-Priyanka- Eliminated
-Manu- Unfortunate circumstances but due a variety of issues (Emotional instability, advantage due to the awareness of perceptions outside)
-Jason-Health Issues, any medical condition which is serious enough that it cannot be dealt with in the house should be dealt with accordingly outside.
There are examples from other seasons too but it is just becoming a joke where people are coming and going as they please which in the end dilutes the whole concept.
