Oh God, Twerps, today's episode made me both sad and mad! Sad because of the ridiculous track and because I couldn't help but imagine most those scenes with my old ShivIka! Why are these two such good actors?! Damn it, why does he say so much with his eyes?! Gggaaahhh, the heart burn! Seriously, just imagine today's fever scene without the ridiculous marriage track! We would been on a high for weeks! Why GK, why dammit!And then I was back to being mad with the sindoor scene! Seriously, I so agree with The Ring analogy except that I equate Anika's mangalsutra and sindoor with a twisted version of the Indivisibility Cloak. They render the wearer invisible and replace her with somebody else. Namely someone who rhymes with Nimar!
Ayesha! That's exactly it!! The fact that I could see the magic those scenes would have created without the marriage track framing it, was what made me so miserable!! It was only today that I realised just how much we have lost. I think it finally sunk in and I've been so upset since watching the episode. I so agree with you. In any other circumstance, those scenes would have given me a crazy high!
And the invisibility cloak metaphor! 😆 Yesss! I guess, we need to write some Sci-fi on ShivIka to recover from this tragedy.
