Saala Tu Salman ko Baal Ugaane Ko Bolta Hain; Anurag K his Rift -Sallu

Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap is known for his outspoken personality. He recently made headlines after he questioned Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his move on black money.
Anurag's filmi career has been though many ups and downs but that never deterred him for moving ahead.
Everyone in B-town is aware of Salman Khan's rift with Anurag Kashyap. But, not many are aware of how it all began.
The Wasseypur director who was recently present on Neha Dhupia's chat show #NoFilterNeha was asked about the time when he was supposed to direct the 2003 hit film 'Tere Naam'.
Recollecting those days, he informed that he had watched the the Tamil film 'Setu' made by Bala. A few people in Bollywood wanted to have a remake of the film and Ram Gopal Varma had even bought the rights for the film.
Anurag was the one who was writing the script for the Hindi version of the film and filmmaker E. Nivas was fixed to direct it. However, at the time it was not Salman but Sanjay Kapoor who was supposed to play the lead character in the film.
Somehow things didn't work out well and at the end after the script traveled through various actors, it landed in Salman's.
Later, Anurag was asked to direct the film by the new producers.
Anurag's script was based in Agra and Mathura. But being a North Indian it was difficult for him to imagine Salman playing a small townie with a clean shaved chest.
So he suggested Salman to grow some chest hairs to bring a natural look to his character. Salman patiently listened to every detail that Anurag narrated without any reaction.
"He just kept looking at me" Anurag said.
And here's how it all began!
After that meet with Salman, Anurag got a call from the producer who asked him to come to his house.
"I went to his house and the first thing I see is a glass of whiskey comes flying towards me and hits the wall", Anurag recalls with a hearty laugh.
Anurag remembers that his producers stormed at him saying "what do you think you are saale tu Salman Khan ko baal ugaane ko bolta hai"
Anurag was clueless about what was going on and soon left the the producer's residence. He still recalls that he wasn't even informed that he has been chucked off from the project and the film had landed in another director's basket.

This whole incident is so funny 🤣 but salman salman h.. He would remain himself.. I can totally imagine sallu's reaction... His iam gonna kill u look 😆

I wish Sallu was directed by Anurag at that time . Sallu would have nipped this trouble in bud. It would have been AK's last movie 😆
