WARNING : HERE.

Edited.

First allow me to laugh to my heart's content because I did not expect Maya to write Saanjh's name with those thorns she was picking out from the roses. Surely, the shiddat with which Maya hates Saanjh is remarkable. 🤣

Whether it is Vandana, Suman, Prem, Ayan, Shubh or their neighbourhood's puppy dog, all of them at some point or the other stress as to how Arjun and Saanjh are the end game. If that doesn't sit well with you, lets just rephrase that to how likely are these two to end up together. It's either via the dialogues or the symbolism's or just the air of Beyhadh, they always make a point to stress on Saanjh's significance in Arjun's life.

They also stress upon what a ullu ka pattha or ek number ka ghadha is Arjun but that's a different case. 🤣 Arjun is a classic combination of sheer naivety and stupidity because he literally fails to understand the basic math. Unless and until Maya does a tandav on his head, he's not going to get a single thing, that's assured.

Moving on from the wonder that Arjun is, let's talk about Maya. (Like, we don't do enough of it already 😆) Maya, time and again (apart from the gazillions of people who don't underestimate the power she holds) conveys either through what she says or through what she does that Maya Mehrotra is a force that is going to...wreck only havoc.

Let's not be fooled into believing she's going to do anything remotely good in the near future. Her definition of love is toxic, her relationships are toxic and unfortunately that is the only way she knows to love. With each episode, I feel strongly that this is not a love story of a bad girl and a good boy. This is the story of a woman, essentially damaged to core, embarking on a path where she's the supreme force that brings destruction to one and all (herself included). And while she's on that path, she might somewhere down the line rediscover herself, be able to gather courage to fight her demons, be able to free her and her loved one's from the prison of toxic love and hopefully, be able to redeem herself and change for the better.

Now, moving on to Maya's favourite person in the world, Saanjh. All I want to tell her is, 'Saanjh, baby, just step back'. Some more of Arjun's crappy show of attitude, high-headedness and naivety and Saanjh will be forced to take a step back. Pretty much what she herself said, 'Yakeen Maya ke pagalpan ka hai aur tension, tension mujhe apne best friend ke bholepan ki hai. Maya Arjun ki na nahi handle kar payegi'. That moment where Maya steps in, saying 'galat' while Saanjh was rightfully accusing Maya for not being able to separate her personal and professional life, absolute LOL moment because Maya too knows what Saanjh said was indeed, the truth.

My wise friend Rida (FleetingWishes.) told me something about the truth of symbolism's of this show (or any other hindi tv show for that matter) that the writers probably don't even intend to put them there and they're mostly just there for the sake of dialogues or just for the sake of being there than for the purpose of foreshadowing or actual implementation in the story ahead. I think she's makes complete sense. I also think because I can't do without symbolism's, I must also highlight some of them from today's episode. 😆

Dialogues heavily dripping symbolism and foreshadowing the future.

'Yakeen Maya ke pagalpan ka hai aur tension, tension mujhe apne best friend ke bholepan ki hai. Maya Arjun ki na nahi handle kar payegi'.

'Woh meri Saanjh hai, uske aur mere beech mein koi taseera nahi aa sakta, that's it'.

'Main aisa hone nahi dunga. Saanjh aur mere beech aaj tak na koi aaya hai aur na koi aayega. Yeh vaada hai mera'.

'Badalte rishton mein vaade kahin kho jaya karte hai'.

'Khaas lamho ke liye kuch toh khaas karna chahiye na'.

'Maine iss mein se saare kante hata diye hi bas ek chodd kar'.

'Mauke tabhi khaas bante hai jab khaas log hamare saath ho aur tumhare liye dusky ke siwa koi khaas ab tak toh hai nahi'.

'Ab tak? Nahi, nahi. Hamesha yehi rahegi'.

'Meri toh nazar kab se tum par hai, lekin tumhein toh nazar hi nahi aata'.

'Kante dikhte kam hai aur chubbte zyada hai aur jab phoolon ko apna dost bana lo toh unhe pechaan ne ki adat daalo, Arjun'.

'Maine Arjun ke aage badne ke liye sirf rasta chuna hai, chalna usse khud padega'.

(^^ The person who has to walk down a path should also choose the path himself, no? I think so.)

'Life mein kuch bhi free nahi hota, Arjun. Maya ne tere liye yeh sab kuch kiya toh uski koi toh keemat hogi na.'

'Ek makdree jo hoti hai na, woh hamesha jaal bichati hai aur tu makhee ki tarah jaal mein phas raha hai.

Cabin scene : Might be looking too deep at it but I'd like to talk about it anyway.

Maya offers Arjun a rose saying she's removed all the thorns except one. Saanjh enters at the precise moment. Moments later, she's shown to be crushing the rose at her back. She shows Arjun the remains of the crushed rose. Arjun takes the rose which Saanjh had and proceeds to give it to Maya but a thorn pricks him. Both women jump to nurse him but Maya gets his hand first. She does nothing to nurse him. She crushes Saanjh's rose under her feet and walks away. Saanjh picks her rose up and keeps it on Arjun's table.

Maya's rose embodies her love which she gives to Arjun but he rejects. He takes Saanjh's rose (which embodies her love, here essentially Arjun) to give it to Maya (as he's going to do, accept her proposal) but soon a thorn pricks him (meaning the troubles in their relationship) and Maya could do nothing to nurse him even though Arjun's hand was in hers (even though Arjun would be with her, she'd be able to do nothing good to/for him). The rose which was Maya's lays on ground, crushed beyond repair (her love too eventually will have to face the same fate) while Saanjh's rose lost a few petals but still remained in a good form (her love will have to face some rough patches but eventually survive the test of destiny). Makes sense? 😳

P.S. Broke into fits of laughter at the 'ullu ka pattha' 🤣

You have such an engaging style of writing and your words flow like water. I love love reading your analyses. They're just always so spot on and full of amazing details. And just make you appreciate the content and episodes even more. I is a fan. You do it so brilliantly every single time. and just so entertaining and thought provoking.

That thorns scene was just so intune with recent Maya scenes where she's either writing arjun or saanjh with whatever's handy.😆 cinevistaas dramatic flare style.😆

God I've been thinking the same. Like especially with Vandana because they have her foreshadowing so much and she's this symbol of 'toofaan aane waala hai, khirki band karo' kind of dialogues which if you think about it are so foreshadow-ish and authentic in their own sense. though i think trying to know whos' the endship is too too early in the game right. We never know with any CVs do we.😆

I SWEAR!! Gadha hai gadha. Like he's the special kind man. Arjun please find brains somewhere, somehow. You know you want to. 😳 you need to.

I find the contrast between her havoc and her tranquility so freaking beautiful. She wrecks with a silent smile and solemn eyes. in the end rose petals crush beneath the coast of soft fingers. it's just so mindblowing how her incandescent rage pours out in calm, silent waves. She's always dual layered. Always in masquerades. The real woman is not one whole soul. She's pieces. Pieces and facades that form a whole.

GOD THIS!! This isn't a lovestory for me. It's a story about a woman. Maya. It's her story. It's her conflict and her comeuppance. her dilemmas and her triumphs or failures. Absolution or destruction. And the other characters are crutches through which we'll see her reveal and revel and rebel and repel.

IT'S SO INTERESTING AT THIS POINT.

GAH I just love how Maya and Saanjh play against eachother. LIKE TOTALLY LOVE IT. They're so so perfect as opponents because they're both fighting for the same cause. Arjun. and the stakes will just keep rising. I love them both so much right now. Their characters are going great.

I loves some foreshadowing too.😆 you're slowly making me into believer.🤔
it's haarnikarak forrr my sehat.😆

AND LET'S JUST REPEAT WHAT WE REPEAT ALL THE TIME. Jennifer looks so bloody gorgeous. AAH.

The you're jealous from me line >> Arjun take a bow. PLEASE TAKE ONE. So i can kick you from behind.😆

Wow it is so beautiful post today's every scene showed symbolism and I loved your rose symbolism noticed and tried to understand the other symbolism but didn't focused on rose symbolism until I read your post

From all the symbolisms we got the future story will be like arjun and sanjh will get separate sanjh's love will take a back seat their friendship will be lost to some great extent Maya and arjun will come together but mayas obsession of control and arjun's obsession of fame and money and also ashwin will wreck havock in arjun mayas life they will heal eachother from their obsession fill the loneliness yet will be unable to be happy they will get separated maybe even turn against eachother arjun will become lonely with fame and money and then will land up in huge trouble that is where a different sanjh will return now after that Maya and arjun will come out of their obsession but it is yet to be seen after coming out of illusion when they will be able to see and think clearly what will be the reality they will want and they will choose

Nice post Asusual 😊 today also we got many hints from episode... I actually rely on vandana hints 😆
I thought same like you regarding rose scene... Arjun tries to give saanjh place to maya(giving rose to maya) and it may happen also by Arjun accepting proposal ... but just like how thorn hurt him he will face problems in life while getting near to maya and going away from saanj.. here maya taking his hand shows that he will also reciprocate her love but here I want to add pandit words and Arjun may become rich and earns fame and all but will be left alone inspite of maya being with him in his life(either as boss or as couple )... here pandit words for saanj comes into play... she being sweet girl tries to protect Arjun from maya but once he accepts maya proposal she will back off for sometime(like how maya crushed saanj rose and saanj will be heart broken as she can't do anything) but will soon becomes strong enough when she realises that Arjun is in danger and fights for him against maya(as saanj rose is fine unlike maya rose) and one more thing is while maya trying to frame saanj name in thorns and giving flower to Arjun it's her rose which is totally destroyed by none other than herself... and vandana words always come true and when she said to saanj don't give that space where Arjun has to stand in between two ways and he has to choose between them... and also when she said promises will be lost sometimes during situations... it happens when Arjun and maya illusion love happens and he may not keep promise temporarily...

Are you an English major? 😆

I also thought it was quite funny when Maya wrote Saanjh's name with thorns. 😆

It seems that as Maya's love or obsession grows for Arjun, it does the same for Saanjh but in terms of hatred. Equal but opposite reactions, Newton's law.

We definitely as an audience do tend to over analyze shows but, Beyhadh hasn't been subtle I think in their symbolism and foreshadowing. They again and again have showed Saanjh as Arjun's saviour and hinted towards her importance in his life. He will find a way back to her.

Even today, she was trying to help him understand that Maya is an extremely clever woman, Arjun should beware. But Arjun is Arjun...no common sense. 😆 I mean if my boss confessed to me that they loved me and I got a promotion, my first question would be that this is this a professional decision? How has that thought not crossed his mind yet?

I hope Saanjh takes a step back sooner than later, I hate to see her deal with accusations such as you're jealous of me. Let Arjun come to her, because he is going to have to once he realizes he in to deep in Maya's jaal.

I love and completely agree with your rose analysis. Though this being an Indian TV show, I have trust issues. They may be bombarding us with hints towards the future of the show, but they can change the story or basically anything for any given reason, like viewership.

Last but not least, Maya is so awesome. I can't express how much I like watching her emotions and reactions. Especially towards Saanjh. And Saanjh is a clever girl, and like the pandit said, she's in for a ride. Pretty much a highlight seeing them together.

I basically relate to Saanjh, and love Maya's character. The women in this show have won me over. Arjun is just kind there. 😆

SaaYaFTW.😆

That thorns scene was shown a few weeks ago on SBS/SBB- I was wondering where it had disappeared 😆

Can't believe that Maya invited Saanjh to the office fojr Arjun's promotion, but if she had not, then the question arises why Saanjh came with a rose too.

Re the crushed roses- Maya was essentially responsible for the destruction of her own rose- not Arjun, not Saanjh, not anyone else, but she crushed it herself. Bit like scoring an own goal, if that ends up as the fate of her love.

@star...nice post. However saanjh turning negative is going to spoil the show big time. I'm really not saying it coz I like saanjh or anything of that sort. But saanjh turning negative is just going to add excessive drama to the show. It will totally ruin the story.
2 Reasons for this:
1. Maya's a grey character in the show. What is gonna be proved with 2 grey characters? How will maya become stable? Arjun? I doubt. He will not even try to figure it out n just dismiss it as maya's junoon. And be screwed in the process. There is a very valid reason saanjh calls him duffer. Maya's problem will remain a problem n not be solved.
2. At the end of this all, surely saanjh will have a conscience if she turns into a vamp( saanjh turning into a vamp will be stereotypical first of all, and that will make this show stereotypical) and hurting maya means she hurts arjun. And surely she would not want that.
I've seen good shows get ruined totally because of such illogical tracks. I really don't want beyhadh to go down that lane. Even ppl who hint at ArYa being end game and are trying prove their point by predicting saanjh as negative, will not enjoy the show, unless they want the same old planning n plotting to be dragged like it is done every other show.

This was so damn perfect! Awesome! <3

Everything is pitched so suspiciously in the show, I'm in awe, literally. No even Saanjh is turning fiercer. Cant wait to see all crashes and clashes ;)
