Speaking on her latest achievement, Deepika said, "Well, it does bring a smile to my face, but sexy means different things to different people. For me, it's not just physical. For me, being comfortable with who you are, is sexy! Confidence is sexy! Innocence and vulnerability is sexy."
The list is made every year by UK-based newspaper Eastern Eye. Priyanka Chopra, who has won the title for times previously, was the runner-up, while Jamai Raja's Nia Sharma came in at third place and also took the title for Sexiest Television Star. TV's Drashti Dhami came in fourth and Alia Bhatt entered the list for the first time, taking the number five spot. She was followed by Sanaya Irani, Katrina Kaif, Sonam Kapoor, Mahira Khan and Gauhar Khan respectively. The oldest entrant on the list was Nita Ambani, 53, who is also the first woman to enter the list as the editor's choice. At the age of 20, Swaragini star Helly Shah is the youngest person on the list at the 31st spot.
