it was a gripping episode yesterday , where Shivaay had to pay for his actions in front of all: Dadi now thinks its useless to discuss things with him in a civil manner, Om is very angry with his terrible behaviour , Rudra just looks away rather than at Shivaay. If you notice , he hardly looked at Shivaay after his great announcement. Although through all this, he is also thinking not to disrespect Soumya the same way bhaiya is doing to Annika.

Om is not going to let Shivaay get away easily with all this. He couldn't even tell his brothers what he did to make Annika marry him. That means he knows he was horribly wrong and is ashamed. But he has his goals. And his arrogance is a lot less in volume today. Normally the scion and pride of the Oberois , today he is in the doghouse (as you rightly put ) . Pride must be hurting badly.

People expect Annika to always be strong. But they also have moments of weakness before they pick themselves up again. Emotions get the better of you, floor you, then you find courage to stand up again. Shivaay broke her courage by threatening her brother , he broke her self confidence. All those things he admired her for: independent and strong, he broke it.

She didn't say a word about Tia and being accepted as wife or the marriage itself or even divorce. She is a prisoner of Shivaay's wrath. She does not know what to do as an Oberoi bahu. She never thought about that before. I think the arrival of the divorce papers will give her glimpse of freedom again.

it pains me that Shivaay could stop himself from showing some compassion. Like Om said, "All this that you did today, you could've warned Annika about it. She deserves that." Shivaay was being extremely inconscientious of Annika as a person. He doesn't want to think of her at all, just wants her gone. Maybe the guilt is chasing him around or he just wants to be the great pride of the house again asap.

But I must say, for a man with good taste (as he prides himself) he has very bad taste in women. Tia is an absolute heel. Did she realize she was making Annika put on her shoes in front of the press photographers ?

awesome write up Asya!❤️

You know I too wanted Annika to leave the OM initially but then I realized that would be an easy way out for Shivvay. Think of it - if Annika goes, it is out of sight and out of mind.
I remember watching this movie when I was very little with my mum. It is Dushman - Rajesh Khanna acts in it. For those who may not know it is a story of a drunk truck driver who kills an innocent farmer when he runs over him while he is coming home/or going to his fields I cannot remember. But as a punishment for his crimes instead of being locked up he is given the sentence of living and supporting that family for his term of punishment. That time with the family and the guilt of facing his widowed wife's accusing looks every single day were worse than spending it in prison. Here he was never allowed to forget by the family or the villagers. He was living in hell for the crime he had committed.
Moral of this 'bhashan' (sorry I ranted on) Annika leaving the house gives Shivvay his relief from guilt because there is nothing to remind him of what he has done. He will carry on with his life with no constant reminders of his heinous deeds and how they destroyed someones life. So if she leaves, when the day comes sign and send the divorce papers, he would have gotten his freedom without serving a sentence for his crimes.
All the family members have abandoned Shivvay for his actions of both marriage and the marriage announcement. The very 'here jaisa honhar beta' is getting the royal cold shoulder and all the focus is now on Annika. He has, unknowingly, painted himself into a corner and has to now obediently follow every and all instructions given to him by Dadi. Ironically, at home right now he is being treated just the way he treated Annika. Someone else is making his decisions for him and he has no option but to comply.
So yes.. you may say Annika should walk out right now with her head held high which is true but what about the sentence for Shivvay's crime? Why should Annika not enjoy the love and pampering of the family that so openly supports her against Shivvay till she heals and becomes strong? When the day comes that she has to walk out after signing the divorce papers she would have gained love and her self- confidence back again.

Thank you. I needed this post. Very clear analysis of the situation. The only thing I still object to is Annika bringing Tia her sandals and then putting them on her ...for goodness sake!

Completely agree with you! It was good to see the old Annika back..What did Tia think? Annika is no abla naari! Her Cheapdi was bang on!!😆 I cant wait for the day the truth will be out! And Annika shouldn't do anything this time...I want OmRu to find out Tia's truth this time.. SC is always fab but she was mindblowing in yest episode!I just loved her in every scene yesterday..The way she taunted Tia about the kidnapping. That was on point. Bravo! Her breakdown in front of Shivaay! My heart ached seeing her all broken.. 😭
Loved your take on the episode. Also,I have read few other of ur posts and I loved reading them. 😃

After so many days.. I get a post to read where I don't need to add anything 👏

Just that- I still disagree with the statement of "Rape" but that's been discussed enough every where else... so I won't start with that again 😊

But all and all a wonderful post... I loved it 👏

Perfect analysis. I really loved it.

SSO is doing plenty of mistakes regarding Anika and few of those mistakes are not just a mistake but actually a crime. He is intentionally or unintentionally hurting n humiliating Anika every now n then..

Although Anika can forgive SSO for this forced marriage, Sahil's kidnap but when she will get to know that SSO was suspecting n blaming her character..was thinking that she took money for ONS with Daksh ...that will be final nail in coffin for her...she will shock and sicken realizing how SSO can blame n think so so low about her. She cannot forgive SSO on this ONS part.

I would like if this track goes like the old movie 'Mere Huzoor' where Jeetendra suspects Mala Sinha's character and then Mala Sinha left him forever and never forgave him...even after he repents hard. In IB too I would like to see this happen. Although at some point of time Anika and SSO to life happily ever after..as I don't like sad endings for love stories.

BUT I want to see SSO being all alone, all this pride, ego crushed like anything...no help from his money n power .. begging forgiveness, care, love from Anika and his family... WIll be treat to watch.

Actually I do agree with you. Rape would be to harsh and strong a word for what he was threatening to do. It was more on the level of a serious assault on a physical level without consent . I actually am going to edit my post.😊
