This is a follow up/second half post of the original one.
Second half : The confrontation scene.
'Aaj se sirf Saanjh, dusky nahi'.
While Jen killed in every frame of confession scene as Maya, Aneri too beautifully expressed Saanjh's pain. š I don't really have any complaints with regards to the performances of the lead cast. You could say there's always a scope for improvement but I do think they're all doing their job fairly well. š³
From the moment of watching Maya and Arjun together to absent mindedly walking on the road to lashing out at Arjun, Aneri did it all with a certain sense of ease. I loved how Saanjh's anger and hurt were based on the lies Arjun told her all the while starting from the planning of the trip to the surprise rather than just being based on jealousy and insecurity. It showed how the best friend in her is more hurt than the unrequited lover. Saanjh despite being aware of Maya's growing fondness/love for Arjun was still very accepting of her until Arjun made it seem like he prioritised her over Saanjh.
Despite being treated in an uncivilised manner by Maya at her house to being told that she loves Arjun to her making an appearance at Arjun's home, Saanjh's hasn't ever really been against Maya. Till now she's been okay with Maya being a part of Arjun's life irrespective of how she personally felt about her. The only time I think she will officially ask Arjun to back off, quit his job and maintain a distance from Maya is when she would have realised that her presence in Arjun's life could harm him.
Saanjh has now begun to walk on the road where her own identity of being Saanjh Mathur will take the lead and dusky will have to take a back seat. I'm pretty sure this is just a temporary fall out between the two friends and Saanjh will still continue to have Arjun's back and watch out for him. It's just that she'll silence the girl who loved in her for the better and for the time being.
We all know how Arjun is going to accept Maya's proposal. The reason why I think he'll do so is because...why not? š I don't know how a man's mindset works since I'm not one but what I do know is, men are intimidated by successful women. Here we have Maya who's beautiful, successful, ambitious and powerful. She possesses all those qualities that immediately attracts a man's attention. She's a charmer, she's an enchantress, she's full of class and style, she's Maya. To top it all, Maya herself proposed Arjun and declared her love with no sense of fear or rejection. Arjun will go home, recall the events, think for a moment or two and will definitely be like...WHY NOT? Maya and I together can rule the world.
Dekh lena! Duffer yehi karega. š
If we're to look at today's episode, Arjun went from Saanjh to Maya, from Maya to Saanjh back again. My gut tells me this could be the order of the show. š¤
