"Najma..." Zoya opened her mouth trying to speak but hadn't managed a sentence that could pacify the enraged lady in front of her

"I did ask you Zoya... Didn't I? What did you answer that time, huh? That Asad is just my elder brother to you!" Najma's eyes spitted fire

"I was myself confused Najma and moreover I wasn't sure if it was my place to break the news to you!" Zoya answered thoughtfully, she herself doubted the veracity of that statement because she knew she shouldn't have kept it a secret as Najma, being her best friend and Asad's sister deserved to know the truth more than anyone else but yet it seemed the correct thing to say as Zoya noticed Najma's eyes dimming the light of rage.

"You know the implications of your stupid infatuation?"

"We know and we are facing it!" Zoya lowered her eye lashes

"Oh seriously we? NO!! It's only my bhaijaan facing it!!!! He is facing your gross father and his cheap son to save you, he is dealing with media to protect you, he is taking care of you while you sit crying regretting your deeds!..."

"I don't regret!" Zoya snapped between Najma's sentence

"Well it looks so to the world though! It looks like... You the sweet crybaby mooing over your fate while my brother is doing every cruel and inhumane thing to keep his clutches on you for the so called revenge from your family!" Najma was completely on a roll on; Zoya was bothered and offended by whatever venom Najma was spewing and the words she quoting her family under but tried her best to maintain her calm

"Neither I nor your brother cares about what the world think!"

"OH BUT I DO!!!" Najma yelled, "I do!" she repeated, "I thought this all will get settled somehow, I am not blind Zoya I knew you had hots for him, well its normal as we all teenagers are hormonal... But you don't turn a bloody fling into a relationship Zoya a-and when you yourself confided in me that you view him just as my brother, I thought it would end! And then your engagement... I never thought you will continue with your relation with bhajaan after it!" Najma sighed before yelling out loud again, "BUT NO! YOU DIDN'T!!" she went ahead and poked finger accusingly in Zoya's chest, "You both my terrific brother and terrifying best friend continued sleeping together! I again thought it would get over but NO!! I reached saturation when I saw some trashed pregnancy kits in the dustbin wrapped in foiled paper to create impression that it's just stray food... He would have succeeded to hide it from me too hadn't it looked to me as eighth wonder as it's my bhajaan dumping the garbage and not the maid!" Zoya stood stunned by the revelation she didn't wish to interrupt Najma and wanted to hear everything that Najma has got buried in the deepest confinements of her heart.

"Bhaijaan began ignoring everything for you... His business, me, hell even his OCD!!!! All of the sudden you became the sun he revolved around, you.. Zoya, you became the pupil of his circle! I should have been happiest that my brother is in love but you even robbed me off that happiness!" by now both Najma and Zoya were crying, "But I had to do something right? So I did it... I called my cousin's boyfriend who happens to be a reporter generally working against my bhaijaan and spilled the truth!" Najma said truthfully and a gasp escaped Zoya's mouth!

"Najma you?" Zoya wanted to confirm, she was sure she misheard something

"Yes Zoya me!! But guess what instead of breaking the relationship and coming out stating it was just a rumour you guys confessed in front of the media!!" Najma lamented the backfire of her own plan, "I wanted to knock some sense into you two but you guys so blind in love refused to see it!! You seriously think all this can improve? Do you really think that over a night Khans and Siddiquis will become friends, overnight your abbu would accept Bhaijaan and your relationship, overnight you guys won't be an example of something outrageously considered to be a taboo?" Najma collapsed on the couch

"This is not a fairy-tale Zoya, why don't you understand?!?!" Najma said desperately, while Zoya could just hold her close and pat her back and forth so that she calms down.

"Najma sometimes we have to act impulsively, it doesn't really matters if the decisions are correct or no, it just matters if we stand for it or no!!" Najma looked at Zoya quizzically tears still streaming down their eyes, "This is what something Mr. Khan thought me, kuch cheeze baithkar baat karne se nahi sulajhte, unhe jhatke se todna parta hai! And decision making doesn't mean making everyone happy! I repeat- it's just matter that we stand by it always!"

"But Zoya I broke the news to media to make you realize you shouldn't stand by it... It's not how these silly attractions are handled, they stay forbidden forever! I thought when I finally break the news to media-" Najma cut her sentence gulping down as she watched past Zoya's shoulders towards the door, Zoya turned back to be equally stunned when she found Asad and Ayaan at the door along with Kabir!!
