Old Harman was attracted to Soumya because of her beauty and innocence. He use to see her as his wife who was mere perfect by all means. He wanted himself and Soumya unite through the physical means.

Sahi bola Tab harman ka pyar ek attraction tha jo ek khubsurat masoom ladki ka liya tha jo perfect hai sochta tha but ab thuth jane ka baad harman somu ko uski kammi ka saath apna na chahta hai ab uska pyar true hai jiska liya harman ko puri world and society ka samna karna hoga..

True said saara, harman's character has gone through lots of changes esp when it comes to love, there has been various phases of his character. First he just looked upon somu as a normal wife who could stand by his and his families demand. But slowly he got to realise that though somu is incomplete yet she owns a beautiful heart and ultimately his love for somu moved away form intimacy to true one. For him now the only thing matters this moment is her happiness and for this he can go to any extents. His character has been beautifully written and played on screen by VD. He completly does justice to what he is given and has complelty bought life to it!
