I Feel Alia has huge and long years ahead to win best actress awards. Plus she has already big daddy called karan johar who will give her all best scripts in her kitty.

This is not called competition , its called being lucky or being privileged.

Sonam had been not a good actor since her debut. When she did well, the industry is not supporting her. If it was 2013 and ram leela and udta punjab would have released, would the organisers and industry dare to ignore a senior deepika and handover the trophy to alia? NO. But when it comes to Sonam why? Iam not a sonam fan , but she had worked hard and guys in real life imagine after failures we get success and its not acknowledged how would we feel?

Wont it feel bad. Sonam needed the boost now after almost going to complete 10 yrs as actress in 2017.

If the same industry can award Kajol for fanaa over kareena for omkara in 2006 with seniority as parameter, why not this time?

I feel may the almighty never show anyone such days in life. May we all dont build any hopes because the world is selfish, cruel and unjust many times.

and Sonam was easily the weakest link of Neerja with her flat, one-note acting 🥱 She totally got overshadowed by the emotional brilliance of the legendary Shabana Azmi and the menacing portrayal of terrorist Khalil by the underrated yet sublime Jim Sarbh 👍🏼

Alia on the other hand not only had a very challenging role but she also held her own against 3 'seasoned' performers and passed with flying colors 👏 so yup, her victory is justified whether one likes it or not!

My empathies with you dear. I've been in your situation many times before with these COMMERCIAL awards. Being a Kangana fan, you toughen up with the "award business'... even if the path is emotionally challenging.😆

OT: Sonam and Alia will both go home with Black Lady (Critics/Popular is interchangeable).

Very soon, it won't matter to you anymore. PROMISE. When the award organizers and actors don't take it seriously, why should we?

Alia winning 20 trophies don't make any difference to her career or others just as Vidya/Anu sitting at home with "0" or Sonam with "2". 😉

Relax and Enjoy W*F decisions. 🥳

If you are really serious, watch out for the upcoming BOIFA - I can guarantee you it is free of COMMERCIALISM. ⭐️

TM - Don't take these things to your heart. Neither BW nor anyone else respect these awards.
I think Anil Kapoor sacrificed Sonam's award to bring HK forward coz he needs 15 mins of fame more than Sonam. Why do you think she attended award despite knowing she won't win?

sonam was good in Neerja

alia was brilliant in UP and DZ..

both have contacts..sonam is no outsider..

but alia in UP and DZ >>>>> sonam in her entire filmography inc Neerja..

not surprised there..

and we cannot even play the outsider card here since both are bloody well connected

but remember the same connections could not fetch alia best debut coz she was BAD in soty..so why they would now..only coz her evolving in a bloody good actress is for one and all to see..majority of those to have seen UP and DZ have not and cannot deny that bhatt shone really bright in both of these..

I haven't watched UP yet, have watched Ek kudi song and Alia was tremendous in that song. Sonam was great in Neerja as well. I like both - Sonam and Alia. And I am happy for both. These paan masaala awards do not matter much. It will be forgotten in two weeks. people will remember good movies/performance for a long time.

She'll do a "Jitesh, you better give it to me" and get Best Actress Critics if not th popular one.😆 Cmon she got nominated for Khoobsurat and Dolly Ki Dholi thanks to her connections.
