Bigg Boss - like Salman khan movie, no brains only fame - 7 reasons.

1. A 10.30- 11.30 slot as opposed to 9 to 10 slot, just to show some pool dance?
If I am going to stay up to watch something that late, it better be as entertaining as Nolan movie, Otherwise I am just going to keep texting someone occasionaly looking at the screen when I hear a scream.

2. Where the hell is the subtlety. I know like majority of the bollywood movie makers, they assume the Indian audience to be dumb. But why the heck are all the tasks based on physical strength mostly? Where are the mental games?
And why so much importance to showcase your physical strength in a task? This is not a military camp where you have to prove your physical endurance, if they are so keen on the physical tasks, stick with Khatron Ke Khiladi Colors.

3. NOMINATION PROCESS - The most important and iconic aspect of Bigg Boss is the nomination process. W*F is wrong with the makers of the show, what happened to the process?
Coming up with ridiculous ways with foam on face or burning pictures or some other form of open nominations. Open nominations are once or twice in a season thing.
When everthing is in the open, where is the scope for mental games? What happened to the good old process?

4. The moral policing done by the host. He is the host of the show, noone made him the judge or the voice of the audience. The job of the host is not to act like one. Salman Khan honestly is one of the main reasons the show is popular yet is also one of the main reasons that the show has become dumber by the day.
Just like his movies, attracts audience, with no real substance or material or an iota of intelligence.

5. What is entertainment? I would rather watch an intelligent conversation about the views of housemates on Rahul Gandhi or the dangers of being a celebrity or about some crazy fans, which they discuss in unseen videos, then watch incoherent jokes between Manu and Manveer which noone barring them and the bigg boss himself understands.
And fighting for the sake of fighting is not entertainment.

6. The elemination process. I know they want to keep the "interesting" contestants, who scream like chicken and make a lot of noise and we call it entertainment.
But honestly voting by audience is the final call.
If the audience, for whatever reasons (may it be past work these contestants have done) wants to see them in the house, then they want to see them in the house. That should be final. Even if the want to see an Invisible Digangana or a Silent Karan.
You can't just eleminate a contestant by housemates votes, or decide to do a double elemination when only 4 contestants are nominated while when 8 are nominated and Baba legitamately got evicted send him to secret room.

7. The Spoon Feeding. Why show Lokesh that video of Karan? Why ask Gaurav why he did or did not nominate someone? Why blow out of proportion Nitiba nominating someone over her makeup or wanting to increase the chances of her friend staying in that process.
Bigg 1 or 2 never had this much of interfering.
Bigg 3, 4, 5 to a lesser extent but signs started showing
Bigg 6,7,8 had a cast that actually benifitted from the interfering but only because the cast was that good.

Bigg boss 9 and 10, they tried to apply the same formula. Failing miserably

It is a game show where a group of people are stranded in a house, completely cut off from the outside world, the politics, the paranoia, the twisted psychologies, should be allowed to develop naturally. Don't pamper with it..

I am so glad that this show is losing it's popularity. Because honestly, I live in Bangalore and can tune into a much better and less manipulated show with more manipulative contestants and better host in BIGG BOSS KANNADA, where I have grown to like all the contestants and become genuinely upset that one by one they go out. Here barring a few, I can't to see majority of them get out. They are simply not likeable as a cast, and it is solely because of the editting of the show.

This is exactly what happens when I watch BB coz bleh the epis are more or less boring or poorly edited.

Yes! Yes! Yes! Precisely why not only us but even the contestants loved the Raja aur Rank task. It was so much fun to watch.

I actually don't mind if Gauarv nominates Bani coz then we get to see a game but these open nominatons and all of these task-based nominations are so useless. They are making it all so script-based now while contestants act like puppets. Nominations have always been the most fun element of the show and this twist pe twist shizz is totally effin it up.

Please! Someone inform their team. It should not be Weekend ka Waar. They should not be scared of weekends on weekdays and start underperfoming(Rohan) I loved Arshad as a host coz back then they let them showcase their real personalities in whatsoever they wanted to present by not letting them know of any reactions.

5. What is entertainment? I swear man! It's like travelling by a public transport and hearing the khus-pus-khus-pus bitching by strangers. You can't make much head and tail of it but you know this is mostly exaggeration. I prefer unseen videos and the cute fun they have. First few weeks they played so many games too. Sth as bizzare as Hide and seek😆

THIS IS SO IMPORTANT! We talk about Desh ki Avaam's choice and the liking & the rest and then eliminate or retain people as per choice? If they are so stricken by the unfairness of voting then they should bring people who are completely at par with each other but No! For viewing they need those fans and ones they are established then content nahi keh ke bahar kar do. First season saw Rahul Roy emerge as a winner and content wise I don't think he ever provided the sort of tamasha content as these people keep pushing them for. Audience liked him and made him a winner. Period. People were entertained in whatsoever way and hence they voted him. I feel like shoving their content BS up their ass, totally kills the vibe of the show.

BB1,2 and 3 were so good. We can never get contestants as varied as fine as them. And the way BB is commercialized now with movie promotions, past contestants grilling session, celebrity chats(Like W*F! Keep your conversations minimal, this is BB and not KWK) and the newly introduced couch sessions with random people or the family thingie. I hate Weekend episodes so much coz they are full of inconsequential BS.

It is a game show where a group of people are stranded in a house, completely cut off from the outside world, the politics, the paranoia, the twisted psychologies, should be allowed to develop naturally. Don't pamper with it..

Brilliantly written post 👏...agree wid each n every point 👍🏼...only addition I would say is d boring movie promotions dat happen every WKW n d lame games dat Salman plays wid dose guests 🥱 I miss d lengthy post eviction sessions of d host wid d eliminated contestants...Arshad n Pooja Bedi did a fab job wid dat 👏...den one entire episode was dedicated to the uncensored videos Season 1 by far remains my fav season for d right mix of contestants, amazing host n no manipulations at all by d Sony channel...even d most controversial n content ke bhandaars were shown d door becoz dat was d audience verdict...n den it shifted to Colors...dey started off good but den later wid each n every passing season dey seem to be hitting a new low 🤢🤢🤢

Excellent post. Every point is correct . I wish bb makers take note of these things and improve. This time bb has become boring mainly because of showing too much of mmm. Who is interested in this trio crap ?,, Yes even the timings r not suitable . It is too late . As i like salman very much ,, i dont like to hear anything against him ,, but still whtever u hve mentioned abt his interference is true and annoying to me too. Why this biasness of clearing images and doubts of selective contestants .,, like yesterday calling mmm relatives and all those boring talks which were stretched so much . And ya missing all the format of previous seasons nominations and all .

SO quit watching Bigg Boss.. & watch other 'intelligent' shows on TV & save your time.. no one's stopping you. 😆

& lastly, makers are not interested, nor do care about your long essays.. they'll do what they want. Watch it or not, its on you. 😆

Was higly unnessary.

I do not watch the show anymore, just the sneak peeks on voot.

And I did not write my long essay for the makers of the show nor for people who don't understand the freedom of free speech and healthy critisism

If anything it is disappointment from a fan who used watch this show since when he was kid to the mindless gimmicky crap it has become.
