Hey dearies back with chapter 2! Ok many of you found the prologue and chapter one confusing and I'm genuinely sorry about that! Obviously, that wasn't my intention so to clarify (😳) this one is written in first person, in RKB's PoV. I hope that helps my lovely readers understand 😳 😳

I love you guys for your unconditional love and support! 🤗

Chapter 2 in the post below 😃

DO DIL MIL RAHE HAIN

MAGAR CHUP KE CHUP KE

I'm so lost in the moment that I don't even realise when I collide into a young lady who's fallen on the ground. I break out of my trance when I hear her cursing me in a totally alien language! Out of sheer courtesy, I walk over to her and lend a helping hand. She glares at me and in that moment I feel ke "isse pehle ke yeh bhooki sherni tujhe kacha chabah jaaye; nikal liyo beta" but before I can even move a foot; she pulls me with such a force I end up falling right beside her. She lays right next to me laughing at my plight. Strangely, my lips also curl up in a bright big smile. We're lying in the middle of the road but I'm unabashedly gawking at her, oblivious of my surroundings and only regain my senses when she clicks her fingers at me and says "beech sadak pe leiteh leiteh daant kya dikha rahe ho, haan? Giraya tumne hai toh uthana bhi tumhe hi padhe ga!"

I sit straight up and help her get up asking "tumne mujhe kyun niche kheencha?" as she smirks and in a dramatic tone declares "hisaab barabar hua". I look on amused.

I decide to take her to a nearby walk in centre as she whines in pain. Her pain is too much to bear and I am too guilty but it's a secluded area and no taxi or auto can be found in sight. Unable to see her in pain, I decide to carry her in my arms and walk to the nearest walk in centre. She tries to wriggle out of my hold but I request her to keep silent as her ankle has sprained and she needs medicine to relieve the pain. Our walk is silent and awkward.

We reach the walk in centre and I am thoroughly relieved. I also sense her heave a sigh of relief when I let her down. She mouths a thanks to me in a mere whisper and I smile at her in relief; happy she is better!

On our way back to her house to which I am accompanying her we introduce ourselves and she asks me why I was dancing in the rain like an excited child. Just then we reach her house and waving a bye to me, she walks away to her house.

"Ishita Vishwanathan Iyer" I repeat to myself in her strong Tamilian accent as a chuckle escapes my mouth. I pay the driver coming out of the auto and decide to meet up with the housing Secretary to see if there's a vacant flat around. The Secretary greets me very cordially and tells me that there's a flat on rent right opposite his. I ask his name and he politely responds "Vishwanathan Iyer" I punch the air in excitement as he looks on amused at my gesture. I shake hands with him give him a tight hug agreeing to pay Rs 7000 for a bed. Mr Iyer gets me to sign the tenant agreement and I shift into the flat just after a few minutes. I meet a young chap Mihir who is younger to him and over the few days we live together we hit it off so well we become brothers!

On one occasion, early morning Ishita decides to bring us her Amma's handmade Idli Dosa but poor thing is left baffled to see me in this state!! 😉

TO BE CONTINUED 😉
