So first of all i want to say hats off to sachin tyagi for him portrayal of MG. He really is playing that character so well and i'm loving him in this. Now on to the character, I'm actually disgusted by this man. I can still relate to the reactions of the other geonka's who feel sorry for what has happened with akshara, but are still more concerned with saving karthik rather than think that he has done something wrong as it is a natural reaction to feel remorse in this kind of situation but the urge to take a loved one out of such a tricky situation will always be the most dominating emotion.

However, i cannot relate to this father of karthik one bit. He doesn't exhibit any real human compassion apart for his son and wife. Everybody else he treats like dust under his shoes. He refuses to even acknowledge that somebody has lost a loved one and is hung up on throwing his weight about by insulting the people who have lost a family member because of his son's negligence. He doesn't care who dies or lives, just as long as his son and his family reputation are not jeopardised.

The other character that annoyed me was that chachu of karthik's. He kept saying to karthik over and over again that they are putting allegations against you, and the way he was saying it was as if they are falsely accusing him or trapping him. Pffft, looks like he is just acting like a sheep for his brother.

And the way that manish turned to naira and looked at her when karthik was being taken away made me want to punch him. He was looking at her as if he was going to kill her or something. His approach towards a family that has lost a loved one because of his son was appalling and inhuman.

I kind of like his character he really is bringing some color to this show of pastels. He is a strong character inspite of his fight with son he is supporting him fully. Understand batik & kaira are heartbroken becoz of Akshata but Manish concern will be for his son, Akshara is a stranger and why should he care about her.

When he caught Karthik from breaking his head was definitely a wow moment. This is what you expect from a father whose role is to protect his family. He was rightly angry at them when they are hurting his son. Do you expect a father to keep quiet when someone tries to hurt his son before his eyes. Chachu is not wrong when he says they are accusing him of something when it is not proved. Karthik doesn't remember and they want him to confess.

Karthik said Singhania is family for him but they did not stand with him or at least give him benefit of the doubt. But his own family stood with him they may not be perfect but apne is apne.

It is easier to say that the singhania's aren't trusting him when we're not in their place, but they have not only lost a loved one, but all the evidence is pointing towards him. All they can see is that he first of all broke the law by drink driving, whilst also being found at the accident site, and to top it off, police themselves saying karthik is the one who hit akshara so how else are they meant to react.

Sorry but i heavily disagree about your point about k's father being justified just because karthik is his son and it is justified that he would care about karthik and not care about akshara. Obviously he didn't know akshara so he can't care about her, but it is a natural human emotion to feel sympathy and compassion when a human dies regardless of whether you knew the person or not and to talk with respect with the people who have lost a family member. Manish Goenka is outright rude and insensitive towards the singhania's, which was seen when naira came to the hospital to visit and he called her a stranger to karthik and said that she should talk to his lawyer instead, fully well knowing that karthik loves naira and would want to see her plus she has lost her mother.

Just because he loves his son doesn't mean that he buries all human emotions and act coldly with others, especially with a family in mourning.

And whereas the evidence is concerned, the evidence all points towards karthik, but the goenka's just don't want to acknowledge it as they wouldn't give a damn even if he did commit the crime and would save him regardless, which can be clearly seen when karthik is taken away by the police after the police confirm they have investigated and it was karthik's fault, that manish still speaks rudely to them saying that just because he's arrested doesn't mean he will stay in jail and said all kind of rubbish to them.

Swarna to me seems like the only sane member of the goenka's who looks sane as she showed remorse for singhania's loss and spoke to them with kindness and respect, whilst at the same time wanting to save her son, which is the opposite approach to manish.
