Sonakshi Sinha welcomed Supreme Court's ruling that now makes it mandatory for every cinema hall to play India's National Anthem before the start of every movie and for everyone present inside to stand up in respect.
Said Sonakshi, "The decision made by the Supreme Court should be respected. There are lots of things that has happened in our country recently where feelings of patriotism have grown strong and I feel there is nothing wrong in standing up if that instills patriotism in us."

The Lootera actor was speaking at Brand Vision Summit 2016. Talking about being a part of women empowerment cinema, Sonakshi said, "I think it's a great trend that has started. Many people are making films with female protagonists in mind which is great for heroines today and I am happy to be a part of that change in Hindi cinema."
Sonakshi also revealed that she and Karan Johar discussed the possibility of appearing on Koffee with Karan when they met each other recently. "Karan and me met the other day and he is confused as to whom to call as my partner on the show. He told me to suggest a few and said that he will also think. Once that is decides, I will be on the show."

The actress also said that she is yet to watch the KWK episode where Arjun was asked about his relationship with Sonakshi
