PART 1
"So, how is this trip going?" Meher asked while taking a sip from her glass of juice. Sitting on a restaurant for dinner by a beach in Goa obviously was giving Preet and Meher a great time.
Preet: It went too good. I mean nothing can be good as this. It is sad that we have to go back tomorrow. That too by plane.
Meher: Hmm what to do Preet? You have a very important meeting day after tomorrow. It is the project you have been working for last 6 months and I think it is high time I should concentrate on my case project too which Herman has handed me last week. The hearing of the case is very soon too.
Preet: I hate working days. Can't it be always like this? A road trip like this one with my lady love?
Meher: Haha, no Preet it can't be. Everything beautiful has an ending. This tour ends tonight but the memories will stay forever.
Preet: Yeah that is true. Let us do one thing while having dinner. Let us recall the memories. What say?
Meher: Great! Here we start. I start okay?
Preet: Your wish is my command lady.
FLASHBACK
"Meher? Meher where are you? We are getting late," shouted Preet sitting on the back seat of the car. As if on cue, Meher came running outside while trying to tie up her hair bun.
Meher: Here I am Preet. Uff! Don't be so tensed for the deal. It will go all fine. Besides today is our anniversary and luckily your meeting is in the Kausali log house so we are getting a chance to spend the day there. Now chill.
Preet: Meher, I am getting so impatient to be with you why can't you understand? *Winks* I just want to fix the deal of our other Kausali properties as soon as possible and then focus on us.
Meher: Haha okay okay. But I am driving now right?
Preet: Yeah you are. PB just handed me some files about the deal. Sadly, I will have to work on them on our way.
Meher: That is very fair much Preet. Prem Bhaiya has other two big meetings today too. Moreover, he did not let you work yesterday night also because after 12 it was supposed to be the starting of our anniversary day. He was very helpless to hand you these files in the morning but I think it should be done by you. It is your deal after all.
Preet: Yes Meher, I completely agree. So will you continue talking with me through the car window or you have any intention of coming in too?
Meher: Haha, oh yeah coming right in.
Meher was driving the car and Preet was working on his laptop sitting on the back seat. Papers were scattered on the back seat. Meher knew Preet was stressed about the deal so to make him feel a little bit lighter, Meher decided to tease him.
Meher: Preet, let us listen to a song okay? I am just turning on the radio.
Preet: Don't Meher, can't you see I am working? *A bit annoyed*
Meher: Yeah I can but I am bored. What should I do?
Preet: You are not a kid Meher. I don't expect this kind of behavior from a working lady herself. *Surprised and irritated*
Meher: Whatever. I am turning the radio on.
Meher acted as if she was about to turn on the radio and Preet looked at her with an angry look. Meher tried to control her laugh and started moving her hand towards the radio button in such a way as if she was playing to do or not to do with it. Seeing Meher's face and her activities Preet understood that Meher was teasing him and wanted to make Preet feel light. After all, that was what she always used to do to make him feel better. Preet looked at Meher with a teasing smile and they both burst out into laughter.
Preet: Meher, are you done with your teasing session? I am a bit less stressed with the laugh. Now I can continue doing the pending works my lady? *Smiling*
Meher: Haha surely you can.
In the evening
Preet and Meher were sitting on the sofa in the drawing room of Kausali log house. Preet's deal went great and they were then planning to watch their favourite movie together on the LED TV hanging on the wall. Preet was copying the movie file into his pen drive from his laptop and Meher was looking at the laptop screen.
Preet: Counting how much time left to be copied?
Meher: Yeah, I am just so excited to watch this movie with you. We always wanted to watch it together remember?
Preet: Haha yeah. Wow! The file is done copying. Let me put the pen drive in the USB system of the TV. Meanwhile you go and switch off the lights.
Preet and Meher started watching "Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kiya" on the TV and they were cuddling sitting on the floor leaning their backs on the sofa covering themselves in a blanket. It was winter time, so they were feeling really warm and comfortable with each other. Besides, the room looked like a cinema hall having no lights on. They were surely enjoying the movie. The interval time came and Meher suddenly stood up.
Preet: Where are you going? This is not a cinema hall Meher. The movie will start right now.
Meher: I know that Preet. But pause it na? I am going to bring us some dinner.
Preet: Oh yeah dinner, I completely forgot about that. *Scratching his hair* Wait are you going to cook now?
Meher: No Preet, I already did my cooking while you were busy in your meeting.
Preet: You did? Amazing Meher. Babe you are truly a genius.
Meher: Okay okay, stop flirting. Wait for two minutes, I will be back with the food.
Preet: Let me come to help you.
Meher: No Preet, you will make the kitchen a mess. So don't. No worries, I will feed you your dinner. You like to eat from my hand na?
Preet: You will? Yohoo! Best anniversary gift.
Preet and Meher had a great time eating their dinner and completing watching the movie. Preet also fed Meher some morsel and Meher had to feed Preet all his food. The movie ended and Preet was very restless to go to the bedroom, Meher hit his shoulder playfully on that.
Meher: Wait for a bit you shameless man. I have something for you.
Preet: You do?! What? Are you going to wear lingerie?
Meher: Preeet! *Hits Preet's forehead with frustration* No, I am not. Wait right here. I will be back soon. Turn off the TV now and switch on the lamp light.
Soon Meher came back with a beautiful anniversary cake in her hands. She placed it on the floor of the drawing room. The cake was a mud cake just the flavor Preet liked.
Preet: Whoah Meher! When did you bake this?
Meher: When you were busy in the meeting in the garden outside.
Preet: Clever girl. You made sure I don't get any smell of the cake.
Meher: Yeah surely. It was meant to be a surprise. Now cut it.
Preet: Yeah come hold the knife with me.
Preet and Meher were done cutting the cake and eating it too. Meher was putting the left portion of the cake on the fridge. She would give it to the caretaker's family the next morning as a treat for their anniversary.
Preet: Meher, we have some leftover dinner also right? You can give Mannu Singh's family that too.
Meher: Yeah Preet I will. I have already kept them in the fridge.
Preet: Oh okay. Great! Now let us proceed to the bedroom.
Meher: But before that tell me one thing. How did you eat only veg dishes on the dinner today and did not even complain?
Preet: What?! We only had veg dishes? Oh well, I think I was too drowned in you and the movie. But why you did not cook any non veg dish?
Meher: Because you will be eating out of limit non veg tomorrow night so I thought it would be better for your stomach this way.
Preet: Tomorrow night?! Are we having a party at Juneja Mansion tomorrow?
Meher: No Preet. We two foodie are going to have our kind of party at Khau Galli and Jama Masjid road in Delhi tomorrow.
Preet: What?! *Surprised* We are going to Delhi?
Meher: Hehe, surprise surprise Preet Juneja. We are officially on a road trip for the next three days. Going to Delhi tomorrow and from there the next destination is Goa. I have already taken leave for us from the office and home too. So how are you feeling? We always wanted a road trip to happen did not we?
Preet was too surprised to reply anything. He just hugged Meher tightly and screamed in happiness. Then he lifted Meher up in his arms and started going towards the bedroom.

PART 2
Meher was sitting beside Preet in the car and Preet was driving. They were on their way to Delhi. It would take a little more than 5 hours to reach Delhi. Meher was looking for something in her bag when she heard someone singing. Surely it was Preet. She looked up at Preet.

Meher smiled and ruffled Preet's hair. After a bit, Preet stopped the car and proposed Meher to go for a walk on the empty highway. Meher agreed but after coming out of the car, Meher sat on the bonnet of the car. Preet started singing again.

Meher and Preet walked for a bit time but they did not go very far as their car was kept on the road. They made sure that they walk only to a distance from where they could see their car. At the time of coming back to the car, Preet took Meher for a ride on his back and kept singing the song.

Preet and Meher walked back to the car and re started their journey. They reached Delhi safely. They took their lunch in their hotel and then they went out for sightseeing. It was not like they were in Delhi for the first time but that time it was different. They were on a road trip. They had much fun roaming around the capital city. Soon, it was evening time and they started their car for the Khau Galli. Reaching there, the aroma of the totally mouth watering kebabs and other foods made their stomachs groan for food. They got down from the car and started trying various items. Soon they were almost full so they had to stop there because they would be going to the Jama Masjid road next to continue their food venture. Meher looked so cute while eating that after they finished eating, Preet could not help himself but to sing for her.

Meher shook her head happily in disbelief hearing Preet sing. She pushed Preet towards their car and they started for their next stop. Preet could not stop himself from singing in the car too.

Their next stop, the Jama Masjid road was full of delicious food stalls. Meher walked towards one of them. Preet looked at Meher in awe when Meher was busy making an order. Preet's voice again came on the run that time.

That time after making the order, Meher also joined him.

Just then, their food arrived. They relished the food with much enjoyment. Foods of both the places were simply out of the world. Preet or Meher none of them were in a position to even move because of too much eating. They sat there for a bit and finally Preet stood up. He gave Meher a hand and taking Preet's hand Meher stood up too. Preet held Meher by her shoulder and as Meher was shorter than Preet so she held Preet by his waist. They started walking towards their car. Preet could not miss the chance of singing while enjoying walking in such a cute gesture.

Sun rays mixed with orange hues fell on Meher's eyes and her hair flew around the air as she tried to look outside her window from the car.
Preet: Meher, be careful. Don't take your head out of the window like that.
Meher: But Preet, the weather is too good to resist this. Look outside na?
Preet: I know Meher but this is dangerous.
Meher: I don't want to miss this beautiful twilight.
Preet: No twilight is bigger than anyone's life and you can enjoy it sitting in the car too.
Meher: Can you just stop the car for a bit here?
Preet: But going Goa takes more than 24 hours by road and we have a lot of roads to cover. Besides, soon it is going to be evening. We will stop by any restaurant in an hour or two to have dinner because I don't want to take any risk stopping on the highways at night.
Meher: I know Preet but I want you to stop the car just for 5 minutes. You don't get to see twilight on a highway every day.
Preet: Oh well, I guess you are right. Let us stop here for 5 to 10 minutes.
Preet and Meher stood there being the silent viewer of a stunning twilight, leaning their backs on the car. Meher held Preet's arms tightly and kept her head on his shoulder. Soon the sun went down in the west horizon and Preet gave a little peck on Meher's lips. They rubbed their noses together and Meher kissed Preet's nose right after that. Then they got into the car really fast and Preet speeded the car away.

Preet stopped the car in front of a highway restaurant after 2 hours. They took their dinner there. They preferred having light food as they were on a road journey. After finishing their dinner, Preet and Meher were soon back in the car and were on their way towards Goa again.
The night passed by, it was the dawn time and Preet was really tired of driving. Meher had told him to let her drive for many times since the night but Preet did not let her. But at that moment, he was really tired and gave Meher the authority to take over the car. Meher smiled at Preet and pulled the gear.

They had come a long way from where Meher started driving and they were almost near Goa. Preet wanted his lady love to take rest then. Although Meher's wasn't tired but Preet being the sweetest husband left no chances remaining for Meher to say a no to his persuasion. Preet came back to the driving seat and soon they were just 3 kilometers away from Goa. Meher smiled brightly and clapped. Preet laughed at Meher's childish cute antics.

Preet and Meher reached Goa safely and they checked into their hotel. As soon as they were done taking showers, they headed towards for a famous food restaurant in Goa for their lunch. After having a posh and excellent lunch, they started driving to the beach. Reaching the beach, Meher was speechless. She always loved beaches and to Meher the beauty of that Goa beach was something which can't be described in the words. Preet understood that Meher was totally mesmerized and let her be like in that position. Preet did not want to miss the chance of staring at her when she looked so beautiful being lost in the beach sight. After a few seconds, a little girl who was making a sand castle came to them and asked for their help. Hearing the kid's voice, both their trances got broken. Meher smiled at the kid and said a yes to her. Preet took the kid on his lap and gave her a fist bump. Just then, the kid's parents came there searching for her and found their daughter with Preet and Meher. At first they were very confused and angry too thinking that Preet and Meher were trying to kidnap their daughter. But then Preet and Meher made them understood what happened. Then the parents of the kid said them sorry and was about to go taking their daughter when both Preet and Meher stopped them and insisted them to let them help the kid. They happily let Preet and Meher to help their daughter. Preet and Meher helped the kid to make her sand castle and enjoyed eating ice cream with her. Then after finishing making the castle, Preet and Meher kissed the kid on her both cheeks together and took leave from her and her parents.
FLASHBACK ENDS
"The parents of the kid were almost about to beat us Meher," said Preet while laughing.
Meher: Hahaha, yeah they almost were. But it was kind of an adventure for us. A trip is always not complete without any adventure, you know?
Preet: Hehe yeah, I agree with you. After helping the kid we had a fun time seeing the sunset too, didn't we?
Meher: Yeah surely we did Preet. The sounds of the waves felt so soothing with the view of twilight and having you beside me at that time just made everything perfect. The evening went so great too and now this dinner. It was awesome. A restaurant on the middle of a beach makes it just on point for any traveler and food lover like us.
Preet: Oh yeah absolutely. I see, we are done with our dinner. So, let me ask for the bill and then let us hit the beach again. I don't want to miss anything of this night.
Meher: That sounds just like what I was thinking.
Soon Meher and Preet were found walking on the sand of the beach with bare feet. Their hands were entwined with each other and they were talking like a newly fallen in love couple.

Though they were married for last two years and it was their 2nd anniversary, they were still crazy for each other as if they had just confessed their love the previous day. Preet kissed Meher on her cheek and Meher being surprised quickly looked around if someone had seen them. She was surely blushing.

Meher's idea of giving this road trip surprise to Preet was surely a winning idea. Preet had given her so many suprises on their first anniversary that this time Meher wanted to make it special for Preet. Meher made sure that they initially make a plan for a tour so that Preet could not think or doubt anything beyond that. This is why she talked to Prem to fix up their long due Kausali property deal on that very particular day. Surely, it had worked. Preet was really surprised but as usual he did not forget to surprise his lady love too. Meher knew Preet would do something for her too no matter what and she was right. She looked at her hand and admired the beautiful wrist watch on it. Preet knew how much Meher loved wrist watches and he made sure to buy one for her so that he could gift her that in Kausali. Meher tried to stand up on her toe to reach Preet's height and pulled Preet's cheeks.

Preet smiled at Meher and told her to wait for a bit. He was then just gone suddenly and Meher was confused. Soon Preet was back and this time he had a flower crown in his hands. "Sorry I could not make it myself because you were always beside me throughout the trip but I managed a waiter from the restaurant to buy one from the beach side flower shop while we were enjoying dinner. I knew I would find it in the flower shop on the beach here. PB told me about it when he was here for his Honeymoon with Heer bhabi," said Preet while making her wear the flower crown. "You still remember this?" Meher asked being emotional. "How can I not? You wanted this from long back and blame my goldfish memory or your sharp knife one for which I actually have forgotten that I need to remember stuffs too. Meher, I want to let you know that you completely deserve this. Besides, you love flowers crowns so much my girl," said Preet making Meher sit on the sand facing the sea and then he sat beside her.
