Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai: Kajal demands her share, divides the family

In tonight's episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Kaveri firmly states that Vidya will not say sorry to Kajal. Hearing this, Armaan questions her for taking sides so openly. Kaveri argues that Kajal and Tanya had earlier created problems for Abhira and Armaan, so her stand is justified. Armaan counters that even then, Kaveri never supported Vidya. Madhav steps in and backs Kajal. Kaveri insists Kajal made a mistake by siding with Tanya. While Armaan continues to defend Vidya, Abhira steps forward and says Vidya is at fault this time.

Armaan and Abhira Disagree on Vidya’s Actions

Abhira reminds Kaveri that she has never stood with Kajal before, yet today she is supporting her. She asks Vidya to apologise to Kajal. Armaan adds that he will not speak to Vidya until she offers an apology. Vidya refuses, saying she and Tanya have already caused enough pain to Armaan, Abhira, and Maira, and she will not admit guilt when she feels she is not wrong.

Just then, the police arrive at the house. Maira gets worried and asks Kiara and Abhir whether the police have reached. To keep her calm, Abhir and Kiara try to divert her attention, and Abhir takes Maira inside. Kiara is stunned when she sees the officers. Madhav asks the police why they are here. The officers explain that they received a complaint about physical violence in the house. Madhav denies the allegation and tells them to verify with other family members. Tanya and Krish walk in at that moment and confirm the address. The lady inspector asks if they made the complaint.

Family Turns Divided Over Vidya’s Slap

Tanya and Krish disclose that Vidya slapped Kajal. Soon after, Sanjay brings Kajal home and accuses Vidya of the same, listing all the mistakes he believes Vidya has made.

Abhira and Armaan try to calm the situation and say the issue can be solved peacefully. They ask Tanya and Krish why they had to call the police. Krish argues that a slap is considered domestic violence. Manoj questions Krish, asking why he never complained when Sanjay repeatedly disrespected Kajal. Krish replies that he always stood against Sanjay and often fought him on such matters. Manoj continues to support Vidya.

Manisha disagrees with Manoj and says a single slap also counts as abuse. She adds that they teach their children not to tolerate violence of any kind, so they cannot ignore this incident. She emphasises that Vidya acted wrongly. Kajal stands upset. Tanya claims the inspector can clearly see the mark from the slap.

Kaveri accuses Tanya of twisting the situation now that her own truth has come out. Kajal, Krish, and Tanya are stunned.

Sanjay Demands an Apology Before Withdrawing the Case

Abhira and Armaan request the inspector to allow them time to handle the matter internally. The inspector responds that Kajal must withdraw her complaint; otherwise, she will have to proceed formally. Abhira and Armaan plead with Kajal to take back the case. Sanjay steps in and says Kajal will not take back the complaint until Vidya apologises.

Hearing this, Vidya finally agrees to say sorry. Kaveri then asks Kajal to withdraw the complaint and to clarify whether she expects an apology from everyone involved. Meanwhile, Kiara tells Abhir to stay away from her if he wants a peaceful life. Later, Armaan and Abhira inform the police that Vidya has apologised. Tanya objects, saying the process is incomplete because Kajal has not forgiven her yet.

In the precap, Kajal demands that the family property be divided. Abhira warns her that this decision will tear the family apart and tells her she will not be able to live without her people. Kajal replies that she can still lead a respectable life on her own.
