It look like modern Manichitrathazhu or rather Bhool Bhulaiyya. Only difference I think here it is not going to be alter ego as Maya is aware of black deeds.

Saanjh is the role of Akshaykumar or rather Mohanlal. A psychiatrist there, a lawyer here. The quiet, quirky, intelligent character that turns the table in his own way for his friend and his wife. Saanjh will do the same here. The intellectual is what Maya calls her. Yes she is intelligent and Maya will know the need of that intelligence.

Beyhadh has the beauty of the original script by Madhu Muttom with electrifying performance by Jenny as Maya and subtle yet a beautiful performance by Aneri. And more than Arjun it is going to be these 2 ladies as it was in the movie also.

Manichitrathazhu belonged to Shobhana and Mohanlal, Bhool Bulaiyya to Vidya Balan and Akshay Kumar. Malayalam original Shobhana walked away with the national award and it was one of career best performance for Mohanlal.

The movie u r talking abt was also made in Telugu&Tamil...Mohanlal's character was played by Rajnikanth & Shobana's by Jyothika...Yaa it was definitely a psychological thriller...nd in that perspective Beyhadh seems to be more&more intriguing with each passing episode...the way CVs have thrown us into endless speculations after every episode is commandable,,...Me too love d two girls Saanjh&Maya...their camaraderie will be a treat to watch!!!Jenny&Aneri r apt for d roles!!!And ANI take a bow girl...ur analysis is top-notch!!!

The mention of Maya's dark secret has been the highlight in the epi. I guess it's because of this secret, Ashwin has a lot of hold on Maya and Jhanvi even today. It could be why Maya never went to register a complaint against Ashwin after all the stalking and threatening he does regularly. Because if she does, her secret will be out. It's this secret that makes her fear Ashwin all the more.

About the secret... maybe she did something unknowingly that ended up having dire consequences. But I also think there is more of a possibility for Ashwin to have been the real culprit who was able to conveniently use Maya as proxy; possibly convinced Maya that whatever it was, is her doing and that she is 'mad'. It could be that Maya has been trapped in a maya all along.

@ajay don't talk about Tamil. That was horrible to say the least, I couldn't even watch half an hr of it, telugu I have not seen. So no comments.

But Shruthi whatever was in tamil was dubbed into Telugu...since i didnt watch d original version i dont know hw it was...i liked d telugu version!!!Apni apni views hai!!!

That's a good point. It could be precisely why Ashwin has so much control over Maya and Jhanvi and the reason why Maya hasn't taken any action against him yet. Ashwin using Maya as a proxy is a possibility as well, we'll have to see more to find out.

Yea I also think that the real culprit was Ashwin but maybe he has something of Mayas found at crime scene which he is using to blackmail her. He might be using it to frame Maya if she goes against him, as a saboot that she did it. He could be lying to scare maya :S
