Hey, people...what's up? Hope all of you are doing fine! Ok.. This is a Two shots..On our shraman, it's been on my mind for quite a long time! But after, writing a couple of chapters of 'Destined' , I thought why not give it a try! So asked 'my lalchi' Sunain; and discussed the basic plot, and she said that I should write it down! That clearly means, if you people don't like it, you know who to blame!
So here goes the first part!
Shackles

"Hey bhaiya ready? "...Pushkar knocked for the third time! And I was not! I was not at all ready! But I know, they wouldn't listen! So I pulled myself up from the couch, and dragged my feet towards the door!
"Offf ho! Aaj to..." I was not in a mood of pushkar's antics, I shoved him, and went straight to my parents' room! "Maa, Papa yeh zaroori hai! I mean mera jana!" ..."yes! And I am not wiling to hear any argument shravan! Go get ready... " My father, being a lawyer, that was too one of the bests of our country, it was not easy to win any argument with him!! ...so I have to go! I sighed!
Me, Shravan Malhotra, an Oxford law graduate, son of Mr Ramnath and Mrs Nirmala Malhotra; was going to see a girl, for marriage! Ridiculous! Mom, dad and pushkar, had seen the girl before, and they really liked her! So it was my turn! I so not liked the whole idea! I was wondering, what might be the girl's feeling, being almost like an object!
I always felt, in arrange marriages it should be the girl's right to come and see the boy, and his house; obviously, she would be the one who would be living with the boy and his family!

They welcomed us with warm smiles, they were the family of four, like us! But the difference was, I had a younger brother, and she had a elder sister!
"Suman..jaldi aaja beta!" said her mother, Mrs Priya Tiwari.
"Main dekhti hoon maa... "
Her elder sister preety seemed quite friendly; even her father was a good man!
Then I saw her, and I instantly regretted, why I didn't see her photo, when maa tried to...at least I could had saved myself from the dilemma, whether to come or not!
Man, she was beautiful; walking towards us, with so much poise! She had worn a beautiful red saree; she sat in front of us, lowering her head!
"Suman, beta... He is Shravan, my son..." she looked at maa, and then me!
Those eyes... There was something in those eyes, I suddenly remembered the poem I was reading last night...

I was, way beyond happy! Suman seemed a nice girl, a bit introvert, but it's perfectly okay by me! I talked to her that day, she commented when needed!
Just within 1month, we had, our sangeet, mehendi, haldi... All the rituals..and we got married!
Our first night!! I was really really nervous, I should give her time, I thought! I liked her, but that didn't mean I would impose myself on her! I went to my room, she might be waiting for me! We didn't talk much before marriage, there wasn't any time either! We should be friends first, thinking I opened the door!
She wasn't in the room! Actually I thought I would see her, sitting on the bed waiting for me, I had to admit I was a bit dissapointed!
I found her standing in the balcony instead, looking at the stars, with those teary eyes! Something pinched inside me!
"Hey.. .." hearing my voice, she flinched! "Don't cry, I know you are missing your home, family.. .."
"It's not like that... " She said in her soft voice!
"You don't have to hide anything from me, you know... ." poor girl, I thought! I tried to hold her hand, just to comfort her!
She snatched her hand... As if I had some dirt on my hand! "I said, I am fine... "
That was rude! I knew we didn't get to know each other before marriage, but still, I was her husband! "You go and change...no need to stand here..." my voice sounded angry, even to my own ears!
She looked at me, took her clothes from the suitcase and went straight to the washroom!

"What is the problem, damn it! " I murmured in frustration! It had been one month since our marriage, but she avoided me like plague! She never tried to befriend with me, whenever, I tried to talk, she excused her for some work.! But she was absolutely normal with every one else! "Mujhe dekh ke ise ho kya jata hai! "
This was not normal! What if she didn't like me, I never asked her before marriage! May be my male ego, wasn't ready to hear the rejection! But what if, she had someone else in her life; but imagining her with someone else was ...

"Coffee... " she said after I came back from office! I had made my mind, today I was going to talk to her, it was not possible to ignore the situation any more!
"I need to talk to you...come and sit... " she obeyed!
"Is there any problem Suman?"...
"Nahin to... "
"Are you sure? Then why are you avoiding me? "
"I am not avoiding you... "
"I am your husband Suman, I have certain rights on you! Leave rights, we don't even talk... Please tell me.. Kya main tumhe pasand nahin? Yaa fir yeh shaadi tumse zabardasti karwai gayii?.. " I pleaded this time... "Please Suman, tell me.. Or do you love someone else... "
She just sat there like a statue! I shooked my head... "Chup rehenese kuch nahin hoga... " this time I couldn't control my anger I grabbed her hand, and pulled her close, "Today you will see, what a husband can do... "
She looked pale, tears started brimming from her eyes.. And she squirmed from my arms! "Please... Please.. Don't do this to me.. Please leave me.. Please... " she pleaded!
"Why...answer me damn it! Agar tumhe mere sath nahin rehna to bolo.. .main khud tumhe chod aaunga! But not like this Suman, not anymore! "
"Mujhe tumse shaadi hi nahin karni thi.. .mujhe kisise shaadi nahin karni thi!. ..leave me... ."
Something shook inside me! "You didn't want to marry me.. Aur main yahan tumse... " I couldn't complete; I barged out of the room!
It was 1.30, I was still sitting at the bar counter, of some hotel, I didn't remember the name! I was drunk, how much, had lost count! I just wanted to forget Suman, I just wanted to forget the love I felt for her, I wanted to forget our marriage, everything!
