I have been thinking about the speech in so many ways, so another point popped into my mind.
If the whole speech is repeated from the point of view of a daughter's mother... Does it still hold?
Then she doesn't feel like being a part of their daughter's life?... When one becomes a wife we obviously don't share everything with our mothers so that means the mother should be pissed if at the son in law to.. But she isint is it because she is not mother enough or doesn't love her child enough???
Or just because she cant because it is bloody tradition to let your daughter go. Hell she can't even live with her anymore!
I tell you if these insecure moms of sons think about it from their daughters in laws mother'd view they will understand.
It is she who took away their daughter not the other way around!
Gosh I so haaate this practice!!!!!
