I agree with all points. It was really very boring episode.. Didn't expect that he will go to her and offered him water. Isn't he the same chandra who was smiling when she was crying over her 7 brothers dead bodies?
Is she the same nandini who said, " purusharth nahi h tumme. kayar ho tum?" and now she's saying "Tum to bahut bade samrat ho na.."
This thing really exasperated me. Why they have to show nandini's character like this?? and chandra crying is So dhur took the place of salima begum from this Episode only and helena of ruks.. mahamanga's place was vacant so they introduced helena's mother.
Even the dialogues were quite similar. God!🥱
From which angle she was looking like a foreigner?? Her hindi was perfect. Forget hindi, they use urdu words too.😆
@bold - I've been laughing at this aspect right from the beginning. The Greeks speak great Urdu and the Magadh + Patliputra people speak some form of Hindi. How is that possible when Urdu didn't even exist until the Mughals came? Also, Chanakya sometimes uses Urdu words, which is quite funny. I think the dialog writers need to be more consistent. There were slip ups in JA too, but at least most of the time the Mughals spoke Urdu and Rajvanshis spoke Hindi. LOL
And Helena speaks Urdu like an Arab or Pathan would, while her father and Alexander speak Hindi with an English accent! 😆 😆
Personally, I really hope Durdhara doesn't become a Salima Begum for 2 reasons. One, I love Salima and I don't think anyone can be like her or the actress that plays her. Two, Durdhara is much more fun and friendly with Chandra than Salima ever was, so I don't want her to become just a counsellor. Chandra needs her in order to remain grounded and to access that innocent part of himself which he never fully lived during his childhood.
As for Helena, I really hope the CVs are smart enough to always show her using her brain in the best way for politics and strategy and that she always has the fire we see now. She has too much dignity to indulge in kitchen politics and jealous behavior as Ruqaiyya did. I wouldn't want her character to be butchered. Maybe she will fall in love with Chandra, maybe not. But I hope she always has her Patrani status and is always loved and respected by Chandra as a friend and guide. Even though it was a marriage of convenience, we can't forget the fact that she is Chandra's first wife and has always been there for him since they got together. He, on the other hand, needs to do a better job of finding that loser Malayketu.
Deep down I am hoping we'll see a possessive side to Chandra in future when Malayketu is back in the picture and tries to win back Helena. It doesn't have to be romantic love (though that would be an awesome twist) or perhaps just the desire to see his friend and guide safe and happy, but only with him and not anyone else!
I don't want him to ever have to doubt her loyalty to him and the kingdom, but I'm looking forward to lots of clashes in ideology between her and Mura. I loved how calmly Mura spoke with her and I hope there will be lots of interesting scenes between the two most influential women in Chandra's life. I don't expect too much from this production house but if history tells us anything then Helena, alongside Chanakya, was the most important person in his life, especially in the later stages when he settled into the role of an Emperor. He married her later in life and it wasn't for political reason, but for love. I think the CVs really missed the boat on this one.
And yes, if this becomes another JA, I will stop watching!
