For me both the incidents were pretty risky and unsafe. In case of Bijoy throwing out them out of house at night was not done. He could have locked them up in sona's bedroom and what sona did, roaming around like that was also foolish.
In Dev's case also it was not safe as sona was standing outside the hotel. Yes there were bodyguards outside but still she was all alone. Dev sent a car for her but late. He should have acted immediately when he came to know that he was stuck in his house. Or may be he was thinking to sneak out later. My concern was more for sona's waiting unnecessarily for so long. She could have joined party much early only if Dev acted swiftly.
Anyways for me both incidents were extremely foolish and i watched it as fiction only. The difference is that Bijoy's incident was shown funny and yesterday one was more of depressing, that's why change in reactions of people. If yesterday's incident was shown in funny way then may be people would have reacted in different way or may be not because it was related to Dev. And bashing Dev for everything is "in" now days.
Also i have read few comments who are saying that Bijoy's action was safe whereas Dev's was stupid because "supposedly" Bijoy's place is safe and outside hotel was not. And even Nitu (i hope i am addressing you correctly), You also mentioned in your post that 5- star hotel lobby is safe. Well i will not try to be judgmental, but being a Delhiite no place is safe or unsafe. Anything can happen anywhere. Nirbhaya case happened in one of the elite area and under the nose of police. So practically you cannot say that this is safe and that is not. But in case of fiction we can assume that they were safe.
