TV industry mein mangalsutr se bahut pyar hai ... nayi shadi hui toh matlab manglsutr pahena jaroori hai ... chalo mana jaroori hai par dress ke hisab se andar bahar bhi toh kiya ja sakta hai ...
Sona's dress / look was ruined for me because of that manglsutr...

dont mind ..I am also married and wear manglsutr but I remove it if it doesnt match with my dress or not wear it if I dont feel like ...

this doesn't define marriage for me ...
but tv walo ko ye pahnana jaroori hai kyuki ye shadi ki pahchan hai ... :P .. it just ruined my mood!

I guess Dev likes Sona wearing mangalsutra as he said during SR scene.
But, it looked nice to me coz Sona was looking very pretty n black MS matched quite well with the blue dress.
Just my POV dear.

I know Dev likes Sona wearing her Mangalsutr
my question and doubt
isn't it some kind of respect for a married woman if they wear it

Agreed😊 may be last time they make wear her nice necklace and no earrings but now they make her wear earrings and that mangalsutr. I saw on location video in which her mangalsutr got hide so director said Erica to make it visible .

Respect women not just married women... a magalsutra doesnt mean respect really ... not to me ... its choice , It s a Tradition to follow if you blv in it ... love, commitment, relations come from heart not from threads or chains... strictly my theory

Look, I am talking from a very neutral pov.
It is completely a matter of choice Neha di.
For you belief comes from heart and some threads, chains, beads do not define your love for your marriage, agreed! You put it on and off, your choice. Well and good. Nobody questions that.

Coming to Sonakshi's look, considering that it is the director's choice or the character built up is so., that they like putting mangalsutra on forever.
That's practically one's subjective choice.
I know some of the girls of today's date, who are well educated, modern, altering between different dresses, they love putting their mangalsutra and/or sindoor all the time, mainly when they are newly married... And they are perfectly fine by that.

I think instead of spoiling our mood, we'd rather accept characters the way they are. And not way we wish to see them in.

How does it matter?

Hey azeen! I agree. But what about being aesthetically pleased by the actor or actress we love ... we love then ass a package ... looks, acting sometimes just acting and sometimes looks ...

Sona, they tried to portray her as a stylish, smart and progressive woman. But they haven't always done justice to her looks... she looked good in some traditional clothes but in some she was just not so appealing... and some of her indo-western clothes she just rocked ... but her look this time wasnt upto mark for me ... using my right as a fan to displeased about her clothing choice ...

Anyway! This is nothing compared to u turn her character has taken ... i still feel she is being understanding and which i love ... not fighting too much except going overboard with dev doing things on hus own ... she should have done it slowly!!!

To be looking aesthetically pleasing to the fans is again a subjective choice. There were looks of both Dev and Sonakshi that I did not like. I knew they could have been far better. But what didn't soothe my eye was exquisite for some other people. The same goes with Sona's clothes, her jewelry, makeup or her character definition.
As to her going overboard, I think, both Dev and Sonakshi are at fault. Where Dev is not communicating his discomfort until it becomes obvious in a wrong way; Sonakshi is unable to read his discomfort until she catches him red handed.

And the person who is most at fault is Ishwari. She needs to back out some bit. DEV IS NOT A BABY ANYMORE!!! She needs to bloody understand that. When Devakshi were fighting in that matter and Sonakshi came with this mamma's boy theory, after which Ishwari backed out; she should have done this quite earlier. She is just not understanding that privacy just doesn't mean letting the husband and wife sleep together in their room, but also to let them sort whatever issues they have among themselves. When Dev came with the idea of his clothes in his mother's cupboard, that time itself she should have asked Dev to take some help from Sonakshi and sort this out. But instead, she became that host parent who is okay with doing her child's homework who wants to sleep early. And that is just not done. It should have solely been Devakshi's matter. Ishwari's nose wasn't needed to smell the cat.
