Part 68
Arnav and Khushi's match is at 9 am. Paridhi packs up her kit-bag with water, juice and the cloth in which she can wipe her face. Arnav and Khushi go to the ground for warming up before their match.
Arnav: All the best Khushi. I wish our matches had different timings. If you are there to watch my match, it gives me more energy.
Khushi: Same here.
Arnav and Khushi exchange their photos and put them in their chain. So they would feel each other's presence.
Indian basketball team faces Korea in the match. Khushi faces the player representing Nepal. Both the matches begin.
Table Tennis Match.
Khushi keeps smashing the ball and dominates in the first set and wins 21-7
Basket Ball Match.
India dominates the first half are are leading 70-30.
Khushi gets ready for the next set. Arnav is eager to see Khushi playing the next set but is tied up in the second half.
Basketball second half begins. There is a tough match between India and Korea. The latter had caught up with the former. The scores are even at 90. Last 10 minutes are remaining. The match gets more exciting. The scores are still tied up. The time is up. The referee starts with the tie-breaker.
KT, Kashish, and Juhi hold on to their nerves whereas Khushi thinks about Arnav's match and loses the second set because of tie-break 20-22.
She has to get ready for the next set. Paridhi goes to Khushi and said, "You could have easily won this set but you've made some silly errors. Make sure that you don't hit the ball outside. When you are playing, focus on your game."
Khushi: Fine Amma.
Paridhi: Arnav will join once he is done with this match.
Khushi gets ready for the third set.
Basketball match
Korea gets the chance to throw the ball in the basket but they are able to put only one. Now it is India's turn. Sujal gets his 2 chances. He puts the ball into the basket both the times.
India wins the tie breaker. After they are done with the presentation, all the basketball players go to table-tennis court to watch Khushi playing.
Table Tennis
Khushi is leading the third set 5-0. All are happy & excited.
Arnav: Come on Khushi I've come.
Khushi misses the beat but ignores it and continues her game. She wins the third set, beating the opponent 21-10.
Khushi has to get ready for the next set which means that if she wins this set, the match will be in her favor. Both change the sides quickly. Both ladies wipe their faces & hands to play the next set.
Arnav: Come on Khushi, you have to make this one too.
RJ, SK & LKT also cheer for Khushi.
The fourth set begins. Khushi is geared up. She begins to dominate the 4th set, playing aggressively. She wins the set 21-5 and wins the match as well.
Paridhi leaves for Australia and joins the Modi's & Suryavanshi's.
Cricket Match.
India wins all the league matches and is set for quarterfinals. They are now facing South Africa. Rishi said, "Guys, now we are facing SA. It's not going to be easy. So all of us should give their best."
Toss begins. India wins the toss and chooses to bat. The coach sends a tailender with Gautam. All others players are dismayed. The coach said, "If I send the good players now, no one else will play after they get out. Especially Rishi. If he gets out, everyone will get out. We didn't even score 200 against Sri Lanka. Because our fielding was excellent and Swayam had taken the hat-trick in the last over. That's why we could win."
Flashback
Ahem & Gopi had enjoyed Rishi, Gautam, and Manthan playing. They are also happy to see Swayam reforming. Paridhi joins Jigar, Samar, Sahir, Naiya, and Sona. All of them celebrate Khushi's success before coming to the cricket stand. Shravan, Vidya, Raghav, and Meera join their parents to watch the match. They had celebrated India's victory against Sri Lanka. All of them went to the ball for a couple dance. Sahir and Samar jived with Sona and Naiya. Ahem carried Gopi in his arms and twirled her. Eventually, both did breakdance with Jigar and Paridhi.
Present
Much to everyone's surprise, it was Vicky who was sent with Gautam to bat. Vicky is a pinch hitter. He had hit 3 sixes in the last over against Sri Lanka in the last over and was not out. Adi and Rashi and Varsha has also been seeing everyone's matches.
Adi: You can't trust Indian team. They will definitely lose.
Rashi: When our Rishi, Gautam, Manthan, and Swayam are there, India cannot lose.
Adi: How much they can do. It is a team-work.
Rashi: That's true. But they click consistently.
Adi: Let's see.
Varsha hates Vicky to the core. She said, "I want Vicky to get out."
Adi: Why?
Varsha: I hate him. I don't mind anyone else making India win. But not Vicky.
Adi: You should not talk like that. Vicky is a self-made person. Yet, coming to the International level is not a small thing.
Varsha: But he's very arrogant. He has hurt me on many occasions & didn't even say sorry.
Rashi: Varshu, I know he has insulted you but you've insulted him back. You are no less.
Varsha: Vicky made my dress dirty by splashing dirty water while driving the car. He has done that many times. He never left any stone unturned to hurt me. He is very arrogant. He is a devil and a demon. Whoever has selected him is a fool. That is Indian selection committee.
Adi: Fine, leave this topic. Varsha, you are good in your way and he is good in his. Now, let's watch the match.
Gautam and Vicky come to the crease. Both are rotating the ball well. The score reaches 75. Vicky scores 45 and gets out.
Varsha: Thank God, Vicky didn't hit half century.
She jumps. Vicky sees that and gets angry but controls himself.
The coach sends another tailender called Sriram. He gets out scoring quick 30. India had lost 4 wickets. Their score is 180 by 35th over. Rishi comes. Everyone cheers for him. Rishi and Gautam play aggressively, hitting the best of balls mercilessly. At the end of 50 overs, India's score is 345.
After the break
South Africa comes to bat. They start hammering the bowlers. they didn't lose a single wicket and their score is 80. They had scored those runs in just 11 overs. Rishi comes to bowl. He takes the wickets of both the openers. South Africa's score is now 90 for 2. Rishi bowls the last ball in his first over and reduces SA to 90 for 3.
Mehek, Charu, and Teesha cheer for their husbands and Indian team. Manthan comes to bowl. He reduces SA to 140 for 5. Swayam gets the remaining wickets. SA ends up their innings ending up with 225-10.
India qualifies for the Semi-Finals to face Australia. Pakistan faces New-Zealand in the next SF.
The Modi's Suryavanshi's and the Raizadas celebrate their victory. Pardhi gifts golden watches to Naiya & Sona.
