This is a sequel to my previous work Shivika OS: Clarity
which had started as an OS and the turned to a short story so if you have not read it you might not understand this one so I recommend you to read that first and if you read it as stand alone you will enjoy it too so do give it a try😊

Shivika Series- Life in Exile with Panika ft: Oberoi and Sahil
Episode 1
"Om Rudra come dinner is served" called out Shivaay out of habit while garnishing the dinner and suddenly realised their absence with sadness and called out, "Sahil dinner time. Wash your hands and come." Sahil appeared from his room where he was doing his home work from school and suddenly the aromatic fragrance of the meal hit his nostril as he rushed towards the table where Shivaay was serving Pasta in Arabita Sauce with Garlic Bread and Salad. Sahil's eyes lit up seeing the food as he started gulping down the food he prepared and not even stopping to take a breath. Shivaay looked at him and amusement and teased, "Woah buddy slow down. I have made plenty for dinner and it's not running away. I am assuming you like the pasta?" Sahil grinned and said "It's so delicious. Anika didi is a good cook but can't make such fancy stuff and this is something. Shhh but don't tell her I said so or else she will kill me as much as she loves me."Shivaay patted on Sahil's head and said, "Don't worry buddy it's our secret." "What is will your secret be again?" asked Anika carrying her bag after a hard day of work as she was commissioned to arrange a high society wedding in Colaba after getting pubilicity for the Cancelled Oberoi Wedding where apparently the guests liked the arrangements and enjoyed themselves without the bride or groom.
"We can't say as it's between us men and we can keep secrets" said Shivaay cheekily to which Anika smacked his arm playfully saying, "That's a very chauvinistic statement to make. So what are we having?"Shivaay hugged her lovingly and whispered in her ear, "For dinner there is pasta and for dessert you can have me later." Anika blushed to the shade of beet root and whispered back, "Shhh. Sahil is here and about the dessert I can't wait." Shivaay served her but Anika kept on staring at the door to which Shivaay asked,"Mrs. Shivaay what are you waiting for let's start" to which Anika replied, "Wait a minute Mr. Anika I am waiting for some important people."The minute Anika uttered those words the door bell rang and Anika rushed to open the door puzzling Shivaay. He received a happy shock when he saw his siblings and sister-in-law Saumya standing on door, Omkara with sober expression, Rudra with sulking and Priyanka and Saumya with smile on their faces. Shivaay rushed towards them and hugged his brothers who hugged him back reluctantly to which Shivaay said with happiness exuding from his voice, "I am so happy you all are here." "Bhaiyya, first it felt nice now the moment has gone and it feels awkward. Anyways we are not here for you but your famous Shivaay Singh Oberoi Pasta,"said Rudra playfully to which Shivaay patted his back and said, "I don't care. As long as you are not mad at me I don't care." Shivaay smiled at Rudra and his smile faded as Omkara said, "We have not forgiven you. But we are trying our best to accept this new change in your life and we are here as Anika asked us to come." He met Anika's eye who was asking Shivaay to talk to his brothers in their room pointing towards it while she dragged Priyanka and Saumya towards the dining table.
"You know nothing has changed between us. You can still count on me and share all your secrets, problems and happiness. Nothing has changed except my address" said Shivaay to which Omkara said "We know that Shivaay we can still count on you. I don't believe physical distances makes a person emotionally distant too but ,the only issue I have with this situation is that I feel you are pushed into this and are not really ready for this lifestyle. I know you have called Anika's bluff as she was not expecting you to agree to her condition and I don't blame her but I will blame you if you knowingly or unknowingly lied to her about not caring for the Oberoi name and have sudden change of heart and mind. Are you really happy with this truth or lie I can't judge?" "Om I am not going to lie to you and confess something when I first accepted that condition I was arrogant enough to assume that Anika will not really go through with it and I won't really have to give up everything but I should have known better but now I really want to do this prove to her I can do anything for her. I am glad I decided to take that decision as now I can clearly see what was right before my eyes I can give up all the money, power and fame and live without it but I can never give up Anika and live without her. I don't know what I was thinking when I propsed to Tia and thought I can spend the rest of my life without seeing Anika, hearing her voice, sensing her presence by my side. Om now I really want to do this and earn my right to have Anika and be something and someone on my own without the Oberoi name. But I can't do this alone because I need you guys with me on this. Are you guys with me?"
Omkara and Rudra went to Shivaay who was facing their back and hugged him tight saying, "Of course we are with you Shivaay as you said nothing has changed and we will stand by you on every step of the way. We are happy as long as you are happy and I am so glad you made the right decision by following your heart." "Guys, sorry to disturb you but I have heated the dinner and it will go cold so hurry up" said Anika calling out from the dining hall. The family gathered around after meal for coffee and Sahil had retired for night when Anika gave the Oberois an envelope each to which everyone passed puzzled glances to Shivaay who was equally clueless when Abika asked them to open their envelope they were surprised when they all saw identical keys and said "These are the key to our home and I have made copies for everyone so if you ever feel like dropping by you won't need to wait. I know this place is small but I guess there is space for everyone."Rudra leapt out of his seat and bear hugged his Anika Didi and said, "I promise I will take care of it" to which Saumya teased him saying, "Anika Didi don't believe a word he says. He can't even take care of his wedding ring and keeps on misplacing it and I have to find it every time and make him wear it." "Anika Di don't listen to Sumo as she does not know I can be responsible when I want to and as for about me keeping on misplacing my ring is so that Sumo can find it and make me wear is because she has to kiss me every time so..." said Rudra to which and embarrassed Saumya ran after him to hit him making everyone else in the room blush and laugh at their childish antics.
Shivaay came to Anika and put his arm around her waist and kissed her lightly on lips making her glance at him with sparkles in his eyes dancing with happiness as they saw this half of their family happy and being slightly worried about the other half they still had to convince and make up. Shivaay still could not believe it was possible for him to fall more in love with Anika than he already was but being with her every day after marriage and spending every possible moment with her proved him wrong. He thought being in exile would be hard and stiffening but in reality it was proving to be more freeing and exhilarating. He looked forwards to what was stored in for him in future but with the support of his family and her brother he was sure it was going to be one beautiful journey
