Only if it is as good as or better than first one.
This type of movie depend on WOM, and if the WOM is "not as good as first one", it will suffer severely.

My honest answer is No..Because

(a) there is no buzz

(b) Demonetization. Kahani 2 is gonna release on 2nd which is start of the month. People will be more than occupied with queuing up in front of the bank than thinking about hitting a theater...The target audience for K2 is not college goers or students but the mature audience.

(c) K1 is classic in all sense..Its impossible to top a legend. Also from various Sujay Ghosh's interview I understood this film K2 deals with slightly mature message so he is himself apprehensive on how the audience will react. So it may not be easy to connect with the story

Having said that I really hope this movie works as VB rocks so is Sujay😊
