I guess he was blaming himself for all that he said, the previous day about her and the slight trust he showed in Tia's words...he was feeling the guilt of not being there for her wen she needed him the most and those injuries on her face would have just doubled the guilt and the anger on self ...maybe!!
He was also feeling the tinge of jealousy/insecurity or the fear of losing her to Daksh...he was pained wen he came to know that Daksh reached there in time when her life was in danger and not him!
Plus the fact that he is getting married to someone else and he will lose her forver...very soon!!
Ur question...that is wat he assumed Anika's hurt / pain to be for ? I guess even though she didn't say it out loud, he quite much understood that she was hurt coz he did not reach there wen she needed him...He does realize how much she trusts him over everyone else...and yes he already has assumed that she loves him even though she has never said anything like that but in the bottom of his heart, he knows she does...and so, she expects him to be there wen she needs him...like last time he reached there even without really knowing how much she needed him! He sensed her in danger and was there for her, this only led to the hug and those emotions that only 2 of them felt !
That hug did have a lot of impact and so many feelings that were unsaid were conveyed through that hug!
Sorry for the long rant, but yeah the point remains that he knows she is hurt and a bit angry coz he was not there like last time...he already knows how much scared she was last time, he saw her in that vulnerable state!!
But yes,he still doesn't know about how Tia has hurt her and how she deleted Anika's calls wen she was trying to reach him in the time of need...I just hope he comes to know of this soon so we can see the angry lover boy in Shivay š
