KHNH: Did KJo mess the story??

Hey guys,
I have watched Kal ho na ho multiple times. And recently this thought struck me.

In the movie, Naina loved Aman but as he waa dying, he fixed her up with Rohit.
Rohit loved her but he was trying to move on ( albeit unsuccessfully but who knew what the future held?).
I mean Rohit could have moved on, right??

And coming to Naina, it was even more unfair on her. She loved Rohit as a friend and even in the 20 years later part of the movie, Aman was still the one true love of her life. The girl was literally unwilling to marry Rohit when she knew of Aman's illness.

One could say that Rohit and Naina were happy together but was it enough?? It looked like a compromise.

Did Aman saddle them into a relationship which they kept on carrying due to the survivor's guilt.

If thy were meant to be be, they would have come together on their own some years after Aman's death. Or even found their new partners and explored their own happily ever afters??

So what aay friends??

What you are saying is more what we ought to do in real life. Hell, I would never get close to anyone when I knew I'd die. But that is because I don't believe in these filmy 'love' where you cannot control yourself blah blah blah. Love builds over the years.

I agree, Aman didnt need to mess up Rohit-Naina equation.

😆 You had me cracking at "these health problems".

For years I had been smitten by these movies and then Snap! I realise what crap was I watching anyways.

Everybody has a right to decide for themselves. Aman literally controlled her life' s major decision.

Wish they had showed an alternate ending, where Rohit and Naina are divorced but still good friends.

Aman came across as interfering to the boot in his angel complex.

And kudos Anjs, that alternate ending would have been such a breather!!
They looked a really sad couple by the end.
