And she still wept over Aman in the epilogue part. She was so sad duringher wedding which was eclipsed with her feelings over Aman. Pushing them along so suddenly resulted into a compromise in my opinion. Rohit always knew that he wasn't her true love and she kept on wondering the could-have-beens??
She wouldn't have wept for life over Aman, had she been allowed to grieve properly, she would have found love again. Here her feelings never got a closure. The epilogue indicated a deep gratitude and friendship with Rohit but not love.
Rohit was all ready to back out of the marriage after kniwing about Aman's illness. Rohit was upset that Naina did not love him. It was only when Aman made him realise that how lucky he is to have both life and the girl (good) vs no life, no girl but only love (bad). [Again Survivor's guilt]
So did Rohit and Naiina truly deservethis relationship with the shadow of Aman forever looming over their lives??
Maybe they didn't need him to push them or maybe they did cuz if you think about it, Aman just didn't decide these two people shld get together just like that, he did after he found out about Naina's feelings for and Rohit's feelings for her, chances were she never wld've looked at Rohit that way when Aman dies, cuz then she wld be so distracted in her own mourning and grieving and like you said Rohit was trying to move on and maybe by the time Naina get's over Aman's death Rohit wld've been long gone, taken by someone else maybe.
I don't think his decision was wrong he saw their equation and he knew Rohit wld most probably make Naina happy, Aman cared for her deeply so he didn't wanna leave her in misery, maybe he was a little selflish to rush things the way he did, he probably wanted assurance for himself too before he dies, knowing that she wld be with someone who loved and cared for her when he expires rathan alone and grieving, maybe that part was selfish, but his decision was right (IMO)
And like others said I wldn't change a thing about the move, it's absolutely amazing the way it is.
