Disappointment is such a mild word, Saumiee! He turned out to be weak man who has no regard for his promises.

Dev turned out to be shallow and my heart breaks for Sona. That girl deserves better - a better man. or should I simply say she deserves a man. Coz only a man knows that he should not promise what he cannot do. And Dev IMO failed too fit into that category of a man.

I know everyone is all up in arms, but this was to be expected. If nothing, Ishwari is a fighter, and she does not take a perceived threat lying down. She is fighting this change tooth and nail because she is so scared of it, and she doesn't care who she hurts in the process because she genuinely believes that she is protecting Dev from being subsumed into Sona's family, and therefore protecting the income of the rest of the family.

As has always been the case when it comes to Sona, the change is the right way forward, and Ishwari is fighting on the losing side. But because she is refusing to even consider where she is wrong, she is going to learn the hard way once again by dragging Dev and Sona through hell and back. Dev can't bear his mother's anger and like you said, he acted impulsively to make sure he removed its root cause.

It is definitely an echo of the break up, but if the break up taught us anything, it's that the manipulation that works so well in making Dev do whatever she wants in the short term, backfires wildly on Ishwari herself in the long run. Had she been more accepting of Dev-Sona before the breakup, she would have had so much more power because Dev would not even have had an inkling about her dislike, but she sabotaged that for herself when she took those sleeping pills, and she's doing it again.

Ishwari thought Sona would be Dev's toy, but she didn't bargain for the fact that Dev didn't just need Sona physically there, he needs her to be happy, and for her to be happy Sona requires certain things from Dev. If Ishwari prevents Dev from making Sona and her family happy when he is more than willing to do so, then she is holding him back from his own happiness. That ignites the much needed fire of frustration within Dev, something that only happens with Ishwari stoops this low.

Don't despair, people. This is going to backfire in a MAJOR way. Ishwari is playing with fire, and she won't realise how dangerous it is until the entire house is burning. She's overplaying the guilt hand, and it will begin to lost its effect as a result. Just wait and watch. 😉

Sam, you are absolutely right. And I think we all know how this will play out.

The bigger issue today however was, Dev breaking every promise he makes without a second thought, IMO. The very fact that he loves Sona becomes questionable, when he doesn't think of her before he does anything. Dev is supposed to be crazily in love with Sona and this doesn't remotely resemble love coz he gives her no thought before any of his actions.

Words spoken cannot be taken back and not even Dev can take back these words even if he tries to retract through his actions. The damage to dev's character is done.

Never ever show dev calling sona's mom 'maa' ever again unless he feels guilty for these words. Better yet why not u never go to that house ever again too. Asha is going to notice if he suddenly starts calling her something like 'aunty' again which is going to make her sad.

Instead of explaining to his mommy he took the cowardly way out to pacify his mom. Now I know why ishwari is like this. Its because of one and only dev! Lost a lot of respect for him today

Truly disappointed with Dev today! Never expected him to do this...there is a tolerance level and today it was a big NO for what dev promised his mother and they both mother and son crossed the limits!
This is not about insecurities anymore...its a big mental disorder for Ish and she needs treatment.

I am feeling very sad...for the CVs have just ruined Dev's character big time.

I have not words to describe the episode for it was puke worthy!
