Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan made for a lovely couple on screen. Their fans got a small view of their chemistry when SRK made a small appearance as Aish's estranged husband in Karan Johars Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.

There was buzz that Karan is getting SRK and Aish together in a film again. Albeit this time, it will be a full fledged romantic drama with the two playing leading roles.

When Aishwarya was quized about it, she brushed aside all such stories and told NDTV, "That's all speculation. I am still reading scripts you will know as and when. I like to surprise." We are waiting!

Karan Johar's loyalty for SRK doesn't need any testament. He has worked with the superstar in all his films except Student Of The Year and Bombay Talkies. Also, the director has always been vocal about his desire to work with Aishwarya. So it's not that hard to believe that the director is in talks with these two for a full-fledged film.

Apart from Devdas and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, they have done 4 other films together- Josh(2000), Mohabbatein (2000), Hum Tumhare Hai Sanam (2002) and Shakti the Power (2002).

Aish and SRK came together with Ae Dil Hai Mushkil after a gap of 14 years but there was a lot that happened during these years. Old reports suggest that Aishwarya was supposed to be a part of Chalte Chalte, Veer Zara and Karan Johar's Kal Ho Na Ho. On being asked about it, Aishwarya said in a chat show: Rendezvous with Simi Garewal, "At a time there was talk about a couple of films we will be working in together and then suddenly they were happening with no explanation, whatsoever. I never had the answer to why."

Later when Aishwarya was asked about how she felt about being removed or replaced from those big banner films, she said "If people have to explain, they would. If they never did, they never intended to. I am not somebody who would go to someone and ask why? For me, my dignity is extremely precious to me and that is something which I hold dear to me," the former beauty queen said in conversation with Simi.

We just hope that this time things materialise and we get to see these two gorgeous people in a film.
