Hii everyone Its Shraddha and I am back. Probably no one remembers me. I am just back with a one shot. I know I am not a very good writer but do give it a try. :-)
sorry for the mistakes
It was winter and a young couple was walking hand in hand through a park. Though it was winter the weather wasn't too cold, it was actually quite romantic. The couple came to an halt when they saw a lake and benches surrounding it and decided to sit there for a while. They both were army officers and never got time to spend with each other. It's been 5 years they are knowing each other and 2 since they started dating. She was beautiful, intelligent, loyal but too dense to notice the love he was holding for her from the start. On the other hand he was honest, handsome, loving but too introvert to speak what was in his heart for all these years. They both loved each other so much. After a couple of minutes she spoke up gazing at the lake ..
"It's beautiful, isn't it?" He just smiled and nodded "but not as beautiful as you" he added. She rolled her eyes but blushed at the same time. Inching her face forward she kissed his chin and he startled "Don't do that it's a public place" She just laughed and he glared.
"Let's go we have to go to dinner" She chimed and they got up. She took the car as she was going to decide the place but instead of a restaurant the car halted in front of something which looked like backyard, it was beautiful though. She parked the car and smiled intertwining their hands together as she lead him in. His breath got hitched in his throat as he saw the decoration. It was white his favourite. Two chairs decorated with purple ribbons, her favourite. A small table placed in between with some dinner on it. The scattered rose petals being a perfect match, some music playing in the background and a small fountain. It was perfect. Simple yet beautiful. Just like how he loved.
"When did you got time for this?" He managed to ask still looking surprised. " "Just have a habit of multitasking" She chuckled. But she was satisfied that he liked it so much. They sat on the table to start the dinner. They talked about all kinds of things, how they met and how they got here and so much.
After dinner, she changed the music and forwarded her hand to him " May I have the pleasure to dance with you?" He smiled and got up, they both swung on the music of 'raabta' Being so close to each other was heaven. " May I ask you something?" She asked. "Of course" he replied. She instantly dropped down on her knees and pulled out a black velvet box. His mouth hung open slightly at her act. "What are you..." he was cut off by her.
Mr. Maheshwari, we have known each other for five whole years but we started dating late. I know I''ve been so dumb and not even once tried to watch how you felt. I am sorry for that. I was so bounded by my own past and problems that I couldn't see you holding the light for me through the dark tunnel and I am really grateful for that. I loved you from the day you first saved my life but I was not able to accept it. I did not even realize it till I saw you almost dying in front of me. I am not able to think what could have happened to me if you couldn't survive. I know I am stupid, dense and a horrible person and will not be able to be as good as you even if I try my whole life. But still I want to try , will you help me with that? I can take a bullet for you or whatever it takes to make you safe, you know why because I am irrevocably and truly in love with you." He frowned while she took a deep breath and continued, "I love you. Will you give me the pleasure to be your legally wedded wife and the mother of your children?" She asked with tears in her eyes and smile on her lips. She opened the box to reveal a simple platinum band which was elegant and has a single big diamond shining above it perfectly describing his personality.
He stood there frozen , tears running down his face and he didn't dare to wipe them away. He too dropped down in front of her cupped her cheek and sealed her lips in a kiss. No words were needed to tell what his answer was. The couple enjoyed the moment as the moon glistened over them.
I know it has nothing to do with the plot. It just occurred randomly. Sorry if it's bad. It was just an idea of a girl rectifying her mistakes in this way, And guys it's 2016 girls can also propose.. right? Enjoy :-)
