Pardes-like?...hmm not so sure

Hi guys!!!!!!!!!!

So I have actually watched all the episodes and I have to say the chemistry is sooo "Come Fall In Love" kind-off. Definitely got the pairing right have to say it is the USP of the show so far.

But...the show does not remind me of the movie Pardes and I don't know why but it reminds me of Aa ab Laut Chale movie.

I feel the only similarity between the show and the movie Pardes is the happy-go-lucky characterisation of the "door ka rishtedar" Raghav and the way he is taken for granted in the so called foster family.

Coming to Arjun Bijlani I have to say I can't imagine anyone else play Raghav. So yeah that is how much I'm liking/loving it .

Drashti...Ohk I've to say this I loved her in Madhubala and Geet but I didn't like her in ETRETR idk why... But here in this she looks gorgeous. I know this look is not new and all but still. The character Naina needs to be developed a bit more since sometimes comes across as confused, no?

But I can in no way connect Naina to Ganga. Be it the familial backgrounds, the unbothered brother in foreign lands etc. its almost like Ash of Aa ab laut chale.

The following are the characters that bear some resemblance to the show characters:

1. Raghav(Shah Rukh's character)

2. Dadi(Some what like Amrish Puri)

3. Laksh(sorry idk the actor name , but Amrish Puri's son in the film).

Our BW has so many movies that will remind us with one or the other characters always...so, yes, there could be few similarities with AALC

I think naina will become strong eventually!! She's bound to become strong. After suffering the heartbreak n her brother n bhabi's evil intentions will break her initially but eventually she will become strong bcoz of these experiences. The story is a mixture of Pardes n manju kapoor's novel The immigrant.So, we dont know, anything can happen at any point of time😛.

hmmm...just loving the way story moves...already i began to live with Raghav N Naina...so beautiful characterization...

@bold I have not read the book so can't say much on that butyou are correct now that the show has actually begun anything can happen

actually the word pardes makes everyone feel that its inspired with the film pardes...but for me...it looks different and nothing related to pardes except for raghav and his relationship with the foster family and some extend his friendship with naina..other than that there is no other similiarity...but on 2nd thoughts...this is just the beginning stages...the actual story might unfold later on...the actual story will start when veer-naina meets and raghav becomes the matchmaker

regarding AALC...its just the scenario not the entire concept...rajiv is worst as a son and brother...i have never read the novel thus not sure abt the story in the novel

Yeah i guess we do end up comparing because of the similar names and also media reports that kept saying it is similar.

I too think it's different only time will tell the actual story I suppose 😃
