Chandra gupta Maurya was a general par excellence and a great warrior.

He never took help from Greece army to win over magadh or to unite india under his leardership

Yes in those times kings and emperors married for political reasons. But i doubt Chandra married helena or any of his other wife for politics initially.

Nands daughter is one example where he married for legitemacy of his rule over magadh

The army that chandra and chankya gathered as one to defeat greeks who were foreigners.

I doubt chandras army would agree to fight magadh with greek soldiers

Chandra i doubt ever had greeks in his army, he never took their help even after winning seluecus and marrying helena.

I doubt history would call him great if he took greek help to win over nand

Credit should be given where its due to chandras ability to build an army and to lead it against the all powerful greek sataraps and nand. Is it not taking away his credit by showing hm marrying helena to get greek help to defeat Nand

Second traversity is chandra saying he is marrying helena for country when she was one of his fav wife and he even had kid with her.

Just to show chandra loved only nandini now he will marry all other wife only for country or out of force by chankya what sort of joke is this on his wives

True there is a LOT of historical inaccuracies. I'm just turning a blind eye to the facts and considering it as a completely (max) fictional story since Rajat as CGM is good and I'm loving the the Rajat-Shweta pairing/chemistry.

Curious - why is "travesty" not the right word which Shilpishona used?

Prem, I hope you don't mind my correcting you. What you mean here is "Travesty" which means false, absurd and taking undue license of something and not "Traversity". Would you mind editing your post with the correct spelling.

Well with regard to your topic, you are still expecting 75% history and 25 % fiction from Ekta. You should have been thankful that we got at least 10 to 20% of history and 90 to 80% fiction in CN. I wasn't expecting even this much. And after the reverse sequencing of wars, the War with Selucus and the War with Nandas, I got ready to kiss goodbye to history. Whether CGM does on his own or takes Greek help to defeat Padmanand, it will not take anything away from his greatness.

I think even Ekta Kapoor cannot manage to make CGM a caricature even if she tries. By the way she is not actually trying it at least now in the story. He is the greatest warrior India has ever produced and on whom all of us can take pride. She has kept his warrior nature, patriotism and the essential qualities of his character intact. She is taking a whole lot of creative liberties with history to fit in her story into it. But that's how she is. You will be happier if you will make peace with this aspect.

Hello
This work is a historical fiction.
See the disclaimer before the show.
Lots of authors have written historical fictions.. Did we get accurate history in Tughlaq, some plays like Julius Caesar.. have you read even the classics have taken dramatic liberties
This is a daily soap. Rajat is par excellence but other actors like ones
playing Helena chanakya and Mahapadmanand are doing great job too.
Watch the show as an historical fiction you'll enjoy it.
Ektas Chandra is very well portrayed by Rajat I'm loving it. Enjoy till it lasts
