The difference was that PC was promoted on a large scale beforehand. Quantico had just started so people knew her a little bit by face, and she had done various interviews for Quantico before she started her red carpet game. She had charmed the media by then, (Indian actors are much politer with the media than their HW counterparts so the media gets charmed pretty fast lol) but yes PC had already got on the good books of the media by the time her red carpet appearances started, so they even let her bad looks pass!
Once xxx actually releases, then Deepu would get more of a chance to be known by them! Till then they are going to be nitpicking a lot. I honestly don't find the look so outrageous, if this was worn by someone like one of the pop stars, the media would be fawning 😆

Elle US and Harper's Bazaar US have Deepika's look in Best Dressed list. Those are big fashion magazines but you won't see articles made on those. ...one Daily Mail's (gossip site) one comment on her dress and articles on DM's blunder comment. DM wrote dissing comments on PC's dress before but Pinkvilla types never made article on it. Now you guys know why I say it matters whose fans and team have more clout in PV. If you want something to spread like wildfire ... put on PV.

Your theory has just gone down the drains- PV is the only site which has not posted any such article yet, in fact the only articles they have put is of Nina-DP's selfie & the other one is this: Deepika Padukone stuns at the MTV EMAs 2016 . This article is from Hindustan times actually, and the other sites which have posted similar articles is missmalini, yahoo and GQ India.
To think one PC fan who is just a writer on the forum can control the whole of Pinkvilla- I don't know what to say! 😆 Every journalist or 'writers' would be the correct term have some bias towards their favourite actors but that is limited to only their articles, they are not the owners of these sites. Paisa bolta hai - if DP's PR paisa denge toh uske baare main acha likhenge, PC Degi toh uske baare main- simple as that. In the end it all comes down to who can give money!

Her face, ignoring those hideous earrings, doesnt look that bad. I actually like her make up...but then that is being overshadowed by those atrocious earrings and dress.
