Left me begging for more.
The best thing about it is that Saba was the strongest character in the film, and one of the best & most progressive female characters I have seen in long time. And this is despite not giving the character more than half an hour. It was refreshing to see a movie character who was very practical, sexually liberated , headstrong and extremely self aware, basically she knew what she wanted. Also like that she had the upper hand in the relationship. She knew the consequences and acted upon it.
And Kudos to Aishwarya for doing 100% justice to her despite the negative of screespace. She was absolutely brilliant and amazing as Saba! The restraint, the subtlety, the nazaakat, poise, her beautiful Urdu and the overall calmness, air of tranquility she brought to the role...perfection. For me this is one of the best female performances I have seen in yeaarrrs, reminded me of Cate's understated brilliance in Carol.
I really want Karan johar to make a full fledged movie on her, from her perspective. He should also exploit the whole Tahir angle too. Those 2 mins with them was very interesting.
