I am not sure why some are getting defensive about it and saying "ADHM was so good". So? The topic is stating since his films flop (no one said ADHM has or will) that he doesnt get the blame. Though I do think that if it's a hit or flop everyone points fingers at the actors and actresses.
That also depends on the actor or actresses blind fans.
Some examples I have seen on this are "well, the script was poor.", "the director doesn't know what he/she is doing" yeah okay!

If the actor was bad, they were bad, don't get defensive. Anyway, I do think Ranbir gets repetitive and the name helps him out of so many things.

*I have not seen and will not see ADHM so I can't give any thoughts on that*

That Oscar worthy expressions is just industry's "chadta sooraj ko salam thokna" spiel that they do with any actor on the rise. But, is there anyone else in the new gen who can salvage a good script alone and make a movie with bad script and direction a hit?

Ranbir probably has the most poor script choosing sense of all the kids currently. His last good script was probably Raajneeti.

Two things.

First off, he's not 'my boy'. Although it would be amazing if he were, for sure. Also, if you want to address me, please use an appropriate tone. Respect is earned. I'm not touchy about Ranbir Kapoor. You can say whatever you want about him, but since you're asking me for a favour 'supposedly', do it in a decent way, or don't do it. Or tell him yourself, better.

Secondly, you seem to come from the world of thought that Katrina is a hit actress who made him a star. Not that I can't argue that, but even if I had to, I don't want to. I don't even call her an actress, a good one is so far off. Although she's damn hot, undoubtedly, and seems a genuinely good human being.

he is grossly overrated in the forum... i agree.. he acts almost same in every movie, can't act in any other genre except where he is comfortable like adhm, yjhd...every other genre flops
Rabirs' film flop because of everything including ranbir...
ranbir fans will never accept that as they are too proud
