While this song was good...but i kind of agree...Rafi collection is depressing

There is a dialog in the movie where Anushka says Rafi songs are always sad...and then Ranbir reacts in turn that grief brings the best out of a singer voice. So may be public felt it's insult to Rafi.😊

I see that it's getting complicated day by day. Anything to do with ADHM is contorversy...is Aamir true that we are turning intolerant? Ami going to be bashed now?

I really have to disagree with you here. 😳

I'm a big Kishore fan... but romantic and soulful songs of Rafi are a class apart...not depressing at-all IMO... not even when he sings about tears or crying...for ex -

I remember two songs of Rafi that are about Rona-dhona but even they are not depressing (for me at least) -

1) "aap ke pehlu me aake ro diye..."

2) "kabhi khud pe kabhi haalat pe rona aaya".

on the other hand Kishore has sung such songs too which do not have lyrics with rona-dhona and tears and yet can be depressing... like -

1) Aaye tum yaad mujhe

2) mai shayar badnaam

May be its a compliment to Rafi...ki jyada dard hai...but Rafi never worked for me.

Among the oldies ... though Kishore , Manna Dey, Hemant Kumar have their share of Sad Songs...Lekin Rafi sunta hoon to depressing lagta.

P.S - not denying he is a good singer though
