Part 10

Maan is longing to come back to meet his Geet and reveal about his feelings to her. He goes to meet the clients with carrying the presentation. The clients are impressed about his presentation and give him the contract. The students have 10 days remaining for their exams. All are studying. Maan thinks, "I want to confess my love to Geet but I want to do that when her mind is free. I don't want to disturb her. These 10 days are making me mad. I never wanted to love again after Sameera tragedy but her innocence has touched my heart. I've never accepted defeat before the world but I have lost to myself."

Maan calls up Geet and asks, "Which is your first paper?" Geet said, "Accountancy is my first paper." Maan: Can you come to office today?

Geet: Sure.

Maan: Work is related to accounts. It will be helpful for your exams and you will get practical experience as well.

Next day, Geet goes to the office after the college hours. Adi gives her the responsibility to calculate the payroll for the staff so as to transfer their salaries to their bank accounts. She does the work very efficiently and sends the report to Maan. After checking his mails, Maan said, "You can leave for the day now. See you after your exams. Wish you all the best."

Geet: Thank you Maan

Maan: Bye

Geet: Bye.

Both disconnect the call.

At Raizada Mansion

Everyone is sad that Arnav left the house. However, Brij is unmoved. Bajaj is in a dilemma whether to support Arnav to make his career in music or not. He had closed the music company after his parent's death. He had put his guitar inside the suitcase, never to play the music again. Whenever he thinks about music, he gets to remember about his father's tragedy. Brij on the other hand always hated noise & hated it more after his grandparent's death.

Prerna gets tea for Bajaj & is about to leave.

Bajaj: Prerna, I need to talk to you.

Prerna: Thank God, at least we are going to converse after a long time.

Bajaj: It is about our sons Arnav & NK. Brij has taken over the business & is managing well. I expected the same thing from Arnav & NK but they have let me down. I've always trusted you that you will bring them to the right direction but you have supported them to pursue their career in music. If Arnav took money from Brij's wallet, you too are responsible for it.

Prerna: May I know how I am responsible for it? I too wasn't aware of it. I got to know about it only after Brij has revealed it. Though NK knew, he kept it as a secret. You cannot blame me for everything. If you are managing the office, I take care of house as well as office.

Bajaj: You have given the lenience to them. That is why they have gone out of our hands.

Prerna: If they are wrong in deciding about their career, then yes, I'm wrong. I'm not the person to thrust my views & decision on others. You don't want them to pursue in music because of your ego. You have become so blind in your hatred for music that you don't even understand their likes & dislikes. You tell them about sorting out the differences at home but are they even allowed to express their likes & dislikes? When they do that Brij beats them mercilessly & you don't even make an effort to stop him. It has to be either me or Ragini who has to do it. In such a situation, how do you expect them to freely communicate with you?

Bajaj: You know Brij's nature very well. He is very much short tempered but he is not a bad person. It is not that I don't tell him but he is very much impulsive. It comes to him spontaneously. You've seen him like that in the office too. When he loses his temper, he does not be in anyone's control. You & Ragini are the only ones to control him. If you insist about them to do whatever, they want to do in their lives, fine, they are free to do that. If they succeed, I won't come in their way. I will once again start that unit in our company for their happiness but if they fail, they have to do as I say. Brij is my responsibility. I will make sure that he does not interfere in their lives.

Prerna: If you had shown prudence when Arnav was there, he wouldn't have taken the wrong path & left the house. I want to tell you one more thing. Arnav & NK had won the trophies in Inter-collegiate music & dance festival. Though they were happy, they were afraid of both of you. They took the help of their friends here to find out whether you & Brij are there at home. Out of their fear, they had also made sure that their photos do not get printed in newspapers. They have borne these things as if they have committed a crime. Though you gave them the permission to participate in music & dance, Brij got their master kicked out of the college. You've not told him anything.

Bajaj: I didn't know about it. Arnav has left but we can definitely stop NK from leaving. It is your responsibility to get Arnav back. When he calls you up, you convey my message to him. I'll take care of Brij.

Prerna: Fine, I'll do that.

Sheetal comes to her place after the college hours. Beena is worried & troubled remembering about NK's words. As soon as she came, Beena said, "Stop."

Sheetal: What happened mom?

Beena: I need to talk to you.

Sheetal: Yes, tell me.

Beena: Have you asked for diamond necklace from Nk's brother? Is it true that you were in police custody with those guys after coming from bar?

Sheetal: I don't know what you are talking about.

Beena: Don't pretend as if you don't know anything. I've received a complaint. You answer my question otherwise; I have got numerous ways to find out the truth. I'm asking you because I want to hear from your mouth. If I get to know on my own, I won't listen to you.

Sheetal is shocked. She becomes speechless.

Beena: Ok I got it. Whatever I heard is true. What was the need to ask Arnav for the necklace? If you had told me or your brother Sahil, any one of us would have brought it for you.

Sheetal: I only told him that the necklace is beautiful. It was he who brought it.

Beena: Why the hell did you tell him that? Don't you have any shame asking from the outsiders? Why should you even let the other person know about it? If the guy was standing on his feet, it would have been a different story but how can you expect this from a college student who is dependent on his parents?

Sheetal: He is from a rich family. He is a Raizada.

Beena: Even if he belongs to the Ambanis or Bill Gates family, it does not matter to me if he is depending on them. It is because of you, I have become cheap in front of their eyes. I cannot show my face to anyone as NK had come here & created a tamasha.

She shows her the copy of the letter which she wrote.

Beena: How easy it has become for you to put the blame on that guy when you are at fault to a larger extent right?

Sheetal: It is because I wanted to take revenge from him. He refused to talk to me after we had landed in police custody. Our neighbors had bailed us out but from their side, it was their mom. I didn't vouch for them. That is why they got upset with me.

Beena: Serves you right. I have been getting a lot of complaints from others too but I had ignored them. You got that poor guy kicked out of the house. His brother had threatened me that he won't spare you if anything happens to Arnav. Now, you listen to me. Stay away from him & his family hereafter.

Sheetal is dumbstruck.

Prerna's phone rings. She picks up the call.

Prerna: Yes Arnav, tell me.

Arnav: Did you get my letter.

Prerna: Yes, I got. We miss you a lot. Is that right on your part to leave the house like that?

Arnav: I have tried a lot not to leave the house. I know that everyone except dad & Brij miss me.

Prerna: You've mistaken. Dad misses you a lot. He loves you a lot but he cannot express it.

Arnav: Fine, even if I take that way, what about Big B? If I express my likes & dislikes, he beats me up. You know very well that I'm the person who can beat up 10 people at a time. Even I could have raised my hand on him but I have not been doing it only because he is my elder brother.

Prerna: What you say is also right. I want to tell you something important.

Arnav: Tell me.

Prerna: Your dad gave you the permission to pursue your career in singing & dancing. If you succeed in that, he will restart that unit in his company. If not, you have to come back & do whatever he says.

Arnav: Fair enough. If he had been fair in all these years, there would not have been any need for me to leave the house.

Prerna: I too said the same thing but whatever has happened cannot be brought back. So at least you be thankful that your dad has at considered your interest at least now. Ok, now you study well & keep in touch.

Arnav: Yes, I will keep you updated. Bye mom.

Prerna: Bye beta. Take care.

Next day, Arnav comes to the college with Dev. NK, Khushi, La & Nandini meet them.

Dev: Bro told me that we can do combined studies in or outhouse.

Everyone agrees to do combined studies in Dev's outhouse. All of them go to Khurana Mansion after the college hours & do combined studies.

NK goes to Arnav & gives him Rs.20,000/- cash.

Arnav: This is for what?

NK: Mom has told me to give it to you.

Arnav puts the cash inside the safe Dev had provided him. He has to appear for those papers in which he has got backlogs. Khushi spends time with him & helps him to revise.
