I think besides what you have stated, there is one more importance to their face-off.

Somehow Sahil will be the reason, why Anika will start loving Shivay (not that she already does but with her heart and soul). Two possible scenarios:
He might help Anika with Sahil's custody.
Help Sahil to get back on his feet/save him from danger.

Nothing is more important to Annika than Sahil. So he will win her back by doing what she cherishes the most.

So finally we are getting Shivay Sahil(JIJU SALA) face off! Yay! I am really waiting for that day. I am dying to watch million dollar look on SSO's face after knowing abt Sahil, n this will be a major turning point for ShivIka story.
