As we saw him come out of those waters dripping wet, his well-defined features

glistening in the light and dark hair falling into his eyes, every part of him screamed

sexy. As soon as his hair was slicked back into place, pushed away from his wet

lashes, those insanely intense eyes looked straight at us and we knew we were done

for! At that very moment a star had arrived.

9:30 PM on Star Plus had never been so appealing before. Unruly and bushy

eyebrows never so cool. Ordinary and dull black eyes never looked so enticing or fierce.

To declare him as good looking would be the understatement of the year! He is

a walking, talking hazard to all the girls out there. That absolutely breath-taking

smile of his could easily cause a heart attack.

It's obvious he is a looker. Only the blind would deny it. But it's not the only thing

that it makes him oh-so-attractive. Whether it is helping his co-star with her gown

as she struggles with it or keeping her warm as she struggled in the harsh weather,

the way he respects the women he works with, the way he is always defending and

standing up for what is right while not being afraid to condemn what was wrong or

simply the way he treats people and carries himself off screen. He comes off looking

like a thorough gentleman.

With a complete package like that, can you blame us for not getting enough of him?

Of course you all know who I'm talking about. The one, the only Mohsin Khan! Or as

well all love to call him, our very adorable Momo. As we celebrate the day that has

come to become so very special to all of us, we'd like to wish for our favorite star,

all the "charming-tha" and "handsome-tha" in the world and also an amazing life

Born to Mezabeen khan and Abdul Waheed Khan on 26th October 1991, Mohsin Khan is the eldest among the three siblings with a younger brother and a sister.

A graduate in Electronics Engineering, he was great at studies. A topper who secured 80 percent in his engineering. Though he always had the love for Cinema, acting was never a part of his plan. As it turns out destiny had other plans and after shooting for some ads during his college he tried his hand at acting as well. He did cameos and parallel leads in few shows for a while. He is best known for his roles as Ritesh in Star Plus' Serial Nisha Aur Uske Cousins' and Samar Sareen in Life Ok's Dream Girl - Ek Ladki Deewani Si' which was also his first full-fledged lead role on Indian TV.

His biggest break however was getting cast as Karthik, the Male lead opposite Shivangi Joshi as Naira in Star Plus's longest running show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hain'. The character has managed to gain a lot of love especially from the younger set of the audience in a very short span of time and got him much deserved appreciation and popularity establishing him as the new romantic hero of the TV world.

Apart from acting, Mohsin is known to be interested in other aspects of film-making as well such as writing and directing. He has also worked as the second assistant director for the film Koyelaanchal'.

Karthik as a character is still quite a mystery. Initially he came across as a feisty, charming and laid back guy who didn't shy away from a challenge while simultaneously seeming like a genuinely good soul. But it wasn't long before we got introduced to the fierceness, intensity and passion that now underline his character. A beautifully layered Character.

It's obvious that life hasn't been kind to Karthik. The pain evident in those tears that well up every time he talks about his past and the yearning that we see in them for his own perfect family makes it apparent. A person with that kind of baggage is expected to turn vindictive and hostile. However, Karthik is anything but that! His biggest strength is his immense capacity to love and the endless ocean of warmth that resides in his heart. He is someone who would always go out of his way to help not just the people he cares about but even a stranger in need. He has a strong sense of value and respect when it comes to friendship or family. It is these qualities of his that make everyone around him to not just trust him but also admire him for the amazing soul that he is.

And just when you think you have him all figured out, we see a much more complicated and intense shade to his nature. His love for Naira is neither simple nor ordinary. The rules that apply to everyone else don't hold when it comes to his love. Naira is the one person who he values and adores above everyone else. She has come to mean his entire world. There is no boundary he wouldn't cross and no force he wouldn't go against when it comes to her. He could do anything to put a smile on her face and keep her protected. But question his love for her and he could end up destroying himself and the whole world around him for. That is the intensity with which he feels for her. He loves her with every single pore, cell and fiber of his being. Only when it comes to her, he isn't selfless. Only when it comes to her he isn't patient. Only when it comes to her, he doesn't forgive easily. He loves with a passion that is unparalleled and he will never accept ANYTHING LESS from her.

It is clear that Karthik isn't a character that can easily be categorized or someone that you could easily understand or define. Whoever he is, whatever he is made of, this much is obvious! He is the faithful and dependable friend that every person craves for, the affectionate and responsible son every family yearns for and most importantly, the caring, devoted and passionate lover that every girl's dreams are made of. A man with imperfections. Imperfections that make him whole and so very real. That is our Karthik.
