Another episode of Vasudha's Miss Goody-Two Shoes behaviour in abundance.
Vasu stops the doctors just in time before they remove Vedika's life support. She tells them about Ved's pregnancy and the hope that the child might still be alive. The doctors are doubtful, but since there is no sign of miscarriage, they conduct a sonography. The results show that the child is alive. Everyone is filled with renewed joy. Nani hopes that since the child is alive, the mother will survive too. However, the doctor puts paid to these hopes by saying that she will survive only for her child for the next 6 months, through artificial respiration; but in case there is a problem, they will have to conduct a Caesarean. However, Vedika as herself is now brain-dead.
Nani says she can't understand how she can die for herself but stay alive for her child. Vasu is positive that one day, she will wake up for her child's sake. She goes to Ved's side and pleads with her to give just one sign that she will be back with them. She plays a recording of the baby's heartbeats, but there is no response.
Uttara comes and sits by Vedika, asking forgiveness for being in some ways responsible for her condition. Sush tells her not to feel guilty; Vedika was fated for misfortune, for even if she had reached the temple that day, he would not have married her.
The reporters are after Sushant, asking when Vedika got married, since she gave her name as Vedika Sushant Sharma before going into coma. Sush denies ever having married her and says he is as puzzled as them. Watching the news on TV, Bua gets very indignant. She wonders how Sush could lie when he had filled Vedika's maang in front of them. Nani tells her to calm down; Sush and Vedika were not right for each other in any case, so it was just as well.
Vikram also watches the same news. He goes to the hospital and stares at Vedika through the glassed-in window of the ward. He wonders how the tide of hatred between them has swept them both together once again. Going inside and sitting down next to her, he pleads with her not to punish him any further, to wake up. He takes out sindoor from his pocket, and is about to put it on her, when Vasu stops him.
Vasu says he has not right to put sindoor on a married woman: Vedika had described herself as Vedika Sushant Sharma in the police and hospital records. Vikram says, Vasu is now reinforcing the mistakes he committed in his blind desire to take revenge on Vedika. He wanted to marry Vasudha to make Vedika unhappy, when Vasudha never loved him; similarly Vedika wanted to marry Sushant to make Vikram unhappy, though Sush never loved her. It is Sush and Vasu who love each other, and what Vedika did was in another time and place. Steeling herself, Vasu says that maybe they all need to listen to Ved's statements and decide for themselves.
She calls Vedant, asking him to gather everyone as she wants to talk about something important. She thinks, what Vedika has said, needs to made public, but before that, they must all know among themselves.
