@Yogs: why? Aren't people allowed to choose how they celebrate their birthday?
@Katori: Ha! This is not the kinda show where girls go out alone. 😆Also, why not with R? She doesn't blame him for her situation, and I guess she could use a friend. Maybe she would've asked that sis-in-law if she was around. 😛Point is, she is trying to live the life she would've lived with Atharv, albeit subconsciously.

Neither. This is not about R. It's about her.She has always drawn her strength from Atharv. Now she has only the memories to draw from, so she can continue functioning. Atharv wanted to take her out. She is going out. Ravish is just incidental to the matter, but it probably could've been anyone. That's why I mentioned the sis-in-law.

Lol, guess I stuck my hand in the hornet's nest this time. 😆
Okay, so I'm going to post a common response because it seems like lots of people have similar responses/perspectives to my post.1) I am not the writer. This is obviously just my personal opinion, so please take everything I say with a pinch of salt.2) Empowerment is an ongoing, lifelong process, and there is no report card for it. It never makes sense to me when someone decides to draw a line in the sand and say "chalo let's check your level of empowerment right now. You have failed because if you were truly empowered, you would've done XYZ thing." Arre who gets to sit and decide this. Let's just try and skip all this judgment business if possible. It's exhausting and there's no right answer. And if we're talking about Vividha specifically, her journey has just begun. Her story hasn't even unfolded completely yet. Perhaps, her lack of action is frustrating (and I can empathize with that), but she doesn't have any clarity at the moment. How can she be expected to make any decision? Both Atharv and Ravish have immense clarity and a sense of self. That is why their issue is the family/legitimacy one.But Vividha is still a work in progress. She is just discovering her true self. That is the point of this story! If she were perfectly sorted, what would be her point of conflict?Wouldn't she be another Tulsi/Parvati/Gopi clone? How many times are we going to watch that?😆3) This is the trajectory of Ravish's character. Every person in this show is going to suffer pain and heartbreak. That is the point of a drama show (and life! 😉). I can understand attachment to a character and not wanting them to suffer, but this protectiveness is pointless and bound to end in disappointment. Let this play out too. Without this conflict, his character arc would become one-dimensional.The family drama is his external conflict, this is his internal one.4) The sanctity of marriage. Personally, I believe mental readiness is a huge factor here. And for their own reasons, neither Ravish nor Vividha are ready for this commitment."Duty" is a not a band-aid that magically fixes everything. Through this conflict, both of their characters are going to realize that. Let them have that realization in their own time.Hope that covers everything. Night all! 😛
