Scene: A bungalow, at night
A bride walks in to the house. A sleeping lady wakes up and watches as this bride goes upstairs. She's shocked and drops a vase. The husband wakes up and asks her what's the matter because he's unable to see the bride. The lady is however, able to see the bride in red lehenga. The husband asks the wife to stop imagining things and go to bed.
Next day, a prospective buyer Avinash comes to check the bungalow. The wife Sushila who is locked in a room starts banging the door. The husband Prakash (I think) opens the door and she comes running out, shouting hysterically and asks Avinash not to buy the house as it's haunted. She shows him some sketches of the bride made by her.
Avinash is shell shocked as the lady in the sketches is his own wife. He runs out. Sushila laughs hysterically.
Avinash shows the sketches to his wife Rashmi and she's shocked to see her own sketches. She asks Avinash to relax and have some coffee. Avinash asks her why she gives him coffee everyday and accuses her of adding a sedative to it and going to the bungalow every night in a bride's costume. Rashmi denies everything.
Later, Rashmi comes with gajar ka halwa and water but he refuses have anything. She pops in some pills and goes to bed. Avinash sits in the chair and dozes off.
At 4AM, Avinash knocks the door of the bungalow. He walks in telling Prakash that Rashmi is there. Sushila comes out and says that the bride is indeed there. Suddenly they hear the sound of anklets on the terrace. Avinash and Sushila rush to the first floor. Avinash finds the bride on the terrace. He asks her to stop and turn. Suddenly, he falls off the terrace and dies. Sushila faints.
CID team arrives. Salunkhe suggests that Avinash might have slipped and fallen. He also points out that his neck is broken and this has happened before he died. The face also has scratch marks.
Abhijeet and Daya talk to Sushila and Prakash. Sushila tells them how the Rashmi used to come every night in a bride's costume. She shows the sketches to the CID team.
Salunkhe shows 2 footprints on the parapet wall, confirming that there were 2 people there.
Scene: Avinash's house
CID team comes to see if Rashmi is there. Purvi peeps into the window and finds Rashmi down on the floor. ACP asks Daya to 'darwaaza todo' which Daya does in his signature style.😛
Purvi finds that she's very much alive and wakes her up. She asks for Avinash and CID team tells that she's dead. Rashmi is shocked.
ACP, Daya and Abhijeet interrogate her. She explains how Avinash had behaved the previous night.
ACP asks Purvi to do a blood test of Rashmi to see if she had indeed taken a sedative.
ACP asks duo to see if there's a CCTV on the route from Avinash's house to the bungalow to see how Avinash had reached there.
Scene : Bureau
CID team gets the footage and notice Avinash walking towards a car, sitting inside and then suddenly coming out and walking again. They wonder why.
They rewind and notice that Avinash was talking to the driver of the car as if he already knew the driver. They zoom into the car's number plate and get the registration number and find that the car belongs to one Sonali.
Scene: Sonali's house
CID team knock the door but Sonali doesn't open. Daya breaks open the door and they start searching.
Daya opens a door and finds a red lehenga - the same one which Sushila had seen Rashmi wearing.
Inside they also find and old sketch of Avinash with a pin stuck to the face as if someone wanted to kill him. They notice a police signature at the right side bottom of the sheet with a date, meaning the sketch was made at a police station. They try to trace the details of the sketch from police records.
Abhijeet suggests that both Rashmi and Sonali could be involved in the murder of Avinash.
Salunkhe phones and tells Daya that Rashmi 's blood reports revealed that she had indeed consumed a sedative which was effective for 18 hours.
Scene: Bureau
CID team checks Sonali's phone records and find that Sonali had phoned Avinash 300 times in the last 3 months.
CID team calls Rashmi and asks her if Avinash was having an affair. She says that she did suspect something but she didn't know who it was and didn't try to find out either. Abhijeet says she's hiding something as he finds it unbelievable that a wife isn't curious to know who her husband is having an affair with.
Purvi finds the current location of Sonali's mobile... It is in a jungle.
Scene: Jungle
CID team reaches the jungle and find Sonali who is unconscious. They ask her what she had talked to Avinash on the night the murder from inside the car.
She says that she saw Rashmi setting fire to a pillow that night and she didn't understand what was up and left the place. Then she saw Avinash on the road. He wanted a lift to the bungalow but she asked him to come to her house, to which he refused. Sonali got upset that he's still going after his wife inspite of the fact that they were going to marry next week and asked him to get out.
Sonali says that she isn't aware of the sketch of Avinash which was found in her house because she was not living there any more and she had moved one month back.
Scene: Avinash's house
CID team find a piece of the burnt pillow in the lawns and confirm that Sonali was telling the truth about the pillow burning by Rashmi. They wonder how Avinash didn't notice that. Abhijeet wonders how Rashmi woke up inspite of the heavy sedative which the blood reports had confirmed.
Daya finds an alarm which is normally used by sleep walkers, which helps them wake up in case they started walking.
Purvi gets a call that Avinash's sketch was made in relation to an accident in which Avinash was involved. ACP asks her to trace the relatives of the accident victim who had made the sketch.
Scene: Bungalow
Once again Sushila sees the bride at night. This time her husband also sees her. The bride walks to the terrace, Sushila follows her and falls off the terrace. Her husband is shocked and sits down. Suddenly Sushila comes from behind and tells him she's alive and that the lady in lehenga saved her. That's none other than Purvi.
Scene: Confession
Rashmi says that she used to wear the lehenga and come to the house because Prakash had asked her to. But she didn't expect Avinash to die because of it. She burnt the pillow because she used to add a sedative to it to put Avinash to sleep.
Prakash says that Avinash had killed his son in an accident 8 years back and his wife Sushila was still in depression because of it.
Many years later, his niece Sonali showed her boyfriend's photo and it was none other than Avinash. Prakash came to know that Avinash was married to Rashmi and he told Rashmi that if she wanted to get Avinash back she had to wear a bride's costume and come to his bungalow every night.
Rashmi was supposed to come that night when Avinash came looking for her but since Rashmi hadn't come, Prakash wore the bride's costume and went to the terrace. Avinash followed her and saw Prakash's face. Prakash was overcome by the pent up anger at his son's death and broke Avinash's neck and pushed him down.
Abhijeet delivers the phaansi dialogue to Prakash.
