I might not be the only one who thinks this, but that was not a real apology. Yes, he expressed his remorse and accepted his responsibility for his hurtful words by allowing himself to be hit. I will give him credit because he did look extremely guilty but it was internal. The point of an apology is to express your remorse verbally. We know he is not exactly open when comes to expressing his feelings but that "sorry" wasn't enough.

On the other hand, this huge considering the character we saw in the first episode or even a couple episodes ago. Its baby steps with him but he is getting there slowly. Before she was a semi-exception ... I say semi-exception because there was no guarantee he would not hurl hurtful words at her. It is too soon for him to change, but I think after this she might become a full-fledged exception where even in his anger he will not resort that behavior. This might just be wishful thinking, but there needs to be some sort of progress and setting a limit he doesn't cross would be nice. I don't mind waiting but I really hope we a get a real apology because it has to happen at some point to show his growth. It's not just one incident but a series of mistakes that he needs to acknowledge and make amends for.

As for Anika, I would be lying if I said I liked the change in her, but I have come to terms with the fact the FL will always be the better person. Like he said, she is too nice and he doesn't deserve it, which she even agrees with. He's not a bad person but he is no way near her in terms of kindness. I'm glad that he finally acknowledge the ONLY difference between them that actually matters: her goodness and his lack of it (or his inability to express it). That has always been her problem she is too kind for her own good. She should have kicked out that old hag ages ago, but nope she hesitated because she has a heart and look what that kindness got her 😆

I know there will be more conflicts going to crop up between them in the future but I don't think she will become a doormat. I feel like she will pick and choose her battles because not everything deserves a reaction or a response.

His comment about not being nice was surprising. I wonder if he was referring to his behavior towards her only or if he doesn't view himself as a nice person in general. Either way that admission seems to suggest that he is aware of his flaws, which is a huge step in the right direction. It will be interesting to see why he views himself negatively in the first place and how he changes.

He will apologize For all he has done to her right from the start when he met her first...only when she tries and to go away and he realises that to get her back he has to go down on his knees.. accepting that he was wrong all the time and the big apology I think is on it's way 😆

If at all anika tries to go away from him.. one of the reasons will be shivaays ranting on class .. yateem sadakchap n all.. so he will realise that sometime soon and try to rectify that mistake.. and to start with A big and clean Apology...

I know this will happen kabhi toh... anika can't be a easy one for shivaay..

Even I'm not happy with that apology like he said Sor-Sorry and that's it? Matlb bus Ho gaya? Yes I know it's Annika after all and she has a big heart, but I was not expecting her to forgive him easily. 2-3 episode or tou lagati. 😆

Right now I want Shivaay to say proper sorry, which should show his real feelings and guilt when he comes out of drug effects.

Don't take me wrong, I loved yesterday's episode ❤️ and it was a treat for Shivika fans, lekin sahi wali sorry abhi baki hai. 😉 😆

I agree if he thinks he is responsible for her not coming back it might prompt some change in him because he can't get rid of the mentality so easily or at least make him realize he needs to apologize for more than the Dev incident. Right now, other than his temper and his class rants she really doesn't have a reason not to come back or so he thinks. I feel like she will have her own reasons for distancing herself, but I'm hoping he blames himself 😆

I feel the same. It won't be easy for him and I'm looking forward to watching him struggle. Everything always goes his way ... it's about time it didn't 😆

Exactly.. And this time to be now.. ! It's high time Anika reacts something major... shivaay needs a push now...

And definitely now things will be out of shivaays control and watching him go crazy to not able to handle her and his feelings will be a treat to watch 😉

Its okay if she forgives him for this incident but I hope that it doesn't mean she forgets everything. She said she wasn't back so hopefully she sticks to that. I feel like she needs to remove herself from the situation to get a proper apology.

Yeah! We are always wrong with our theories, Gul always stores 'something else' for us.

Judging from Gul's past shows, Female leads forget easily when someone says sorry. Let's hope for something different this time and yes she better stick to her decision of not coming back to the job! 😊

I don't really expect a proper apology anymore... There have been many wasted chances, so what makes this situation any different? This time he'll be let off with stuttering sorry on painkillers. I guess I could be optimistic and say that that's a great step for Shivaay, but I'm not as nice as Anika, and he's really not impressing me with his actions. I'll be ecstatic if I'm wrong, but even if he said sorry in a sober state, I'm not sure it would be enough. He's just done too much damage in too many places.

Let me Devils Advocate here for a bit, YelloMellow, because yours is a safe space! 😆 What more can he do, when he still believes in the essentials about Anika, and only regrets that he yelled at her and lost faith in her temporarily? How can he apologize for his beliefs, until he rejects those beliefs? This is my take on this--

He is sorry for the fact she was hurt, and he was angry at her when she didn't deserve his anger. He says doesn't he, that he hates himself when he is mad at her? But he still believes the essence of what he said, though, right? Bloodline, background, lineage--- no amount of sorries from him will change that she doesn't have those elements, be she ever so kind and good and sweet and cute. Om is right--as a businessman, he made a calculating error, since she was valuable (trusted employee, kind household help, supportive friend, good influence on all) and he lost that employee through a series of events, for which he is now properly sorry. But that employee is still an employee, right?

I don't get all these "Shivaay is in love!!" theories--he finds her beautiful because he has working vision, he finds her attractive because--male-- and he finds her to be a sweetheart, absolutely hilarious, fascinating and nice because that is what she is. His pre-conceived, extra garma-garam prejudices against her for all that gobar and water throwing are gone, he respects her, is moved by her goodness, and finds her attractive-- but that's really all the character growth that's happened with Shivaay here. Mentally he is in control, and emotionally he has standards he clings to.

The "So-Sorry" was because he shouldn't have SAID those things to her in the WAY he did (screaming, physically threatening, horribly cruel) but he cannot apologize for BELIEVING these things-- "the lakeer between you and us(me) is there and will always be there" is still there--because in his viewpoint that is true about her, right? Because her niceness or their odd connection or even her sacrifice of her "izzat" (GOD 🤢) does not change the fundamentals about her that he has a problem with. She cannot be his equal - -in HIS eyes-- until his basic belief about what makes people equals change. And he lets himself be beaten to a pulp for having hurt her--but not for his beliefs about their essential difference in background and bloodlines. That difference is as true now as that night, when she quit/got fired.

I go back to that point when he is at the poolside, and Omkara and Rudra are angry with him because he had come here and not followed Anika after Tia's outburst--and he held on to the reason he had for not going--Prinku and Dev and her role in that interference. For him that has been the whole crux of this--he has a problem with Anika's betrayal of HIS trust. and not with her background, which is already a given. He thought she was BETTER than her background, and was furious to think she was exactly as he feared she might be--sly, devious, low, a backstabber. But when Prinku bursts that bubble, he rushes off. It wasn't Anika's sacrifice, It was his realization that he had his FAITH in her and her actions towards his family BACK that made him head out like a boss.

For me, the sorry was enough, because I took it to be "sorry that I yelled at you and didn't have faith in you because you kind of told me you had done the one thing I wanted you not to do, and LIED to me about undermining me in my own house" not "I'm sorry for the essential content of what I said, which is a fundamental thing I cannot be wrong about, it is my belief and you are not a blueblood." He at one point, about Dev said "kash things were different" in the context of lineage, then says reality is what it is. He is a realist.

He is not an Ishqbaaz, he is not (yet) a madman in love. She honestly needs to be gone for more than 10 hours for him to become one, to start thinking of just her, just his need for her, and aur sab kuch bhaar mein. I'm incoherent today.. but did I make sense?
