Not sure who to pick, only SLB films I liked are Khamoshi and Guzarish. Not a big fan of Kjo either but he doesn't make pretentious films like SLB, he promises frothy, candy floss films and he delivers.

The only movies i ever tolerated of KJO are shahrukh's but with SLB even that was not possible #devdas

KJO of course at least his movies used to have some comedy and fun, something i enjoyed as a kid, cldn't sit through SLB movies even as a kid, even when my obsession with SRK was at it's best i cldn't watch Devdas, and believe me, I have seen a lot of garbage for him, that says a lot. 😆
