SLB vs KJO - Page 2

Khamoshi is SLB's best for me .The characterization and emotion in the film is unmatched IMO

Literally comparing two shittiest directors in modern cinema

What's interesting to me, is how alike these 2 are in their syntax of cinema,It's Love. SLB concentrates on the windswept, MAD, passionate, obsessive Love Sagas ESP that hark back to the olden/vintage days, and KJo puts the same stories in contemporary/modern settings & usually uses friendship either as a vehicle that restricts the expression of that romantic love temporary, or what takes the 2 "friends" to that position. To me they're more alike in the essence of
Their cinema, than different, barring Ofc, a Khamoshi. That's the only movie in their collective bodies of work that I can say I doubt KJo can make. Actually no, KJo cannot make Khamoshi, he could attempt a bad RL because despite what people like to think, RL is Romeo-Juliet in essence, and R & J is THE most over-rated & demented love story that ever existed & has been made, re-made, murdered & made better, too many times for even a KJo to not give a half-decent movie.. The same way, I don't see SLB doing the short story KJo did.


SLB is slightly more over-rated & KJo is slightly more under-rated in the sense everyone believes he can only make movies, but he has matured visibly in his cinema from his KKHH days.

Bowled away & totally envious Of all his female leads who are all dressed exquisitely!!! There is a certain reverence to the way he presents his cinematic women. I love Kjo's movies too & WAS really looking forward to ADHM, but not every movie of his I would pay to watch In the theatre. SLB's every movie is a sheer experience only to be watched at the cinema!

KJo...his movies are relatable. Watching SLB's movies for me is like going to the museum to look at paintings once in a while 😆

l cannot stand SLBn his brand of cinema at all while I literally binge on KJo type stuff

I will never waste my money to watch a SLB movie in theaters cz watching mannequins and portraits and paintings and curtains is so lifeless. KJo makes all his stories characters so vibrant and full of life that it's so easy to fall in love with them and to relate to them. I have watched every single movie of his in theatre except SOTY

I like both and they kind of do different genre so both are good in their own space.

Even Sajid Khan is better than SLB😳
