Why the decision to do only one serial?
This serial takes up about 18 days in a month. That doesn't leave time for much else. Besides I want to slow down on work front.

Are you comfortable playing a woman older than you?
You don't become your character! And I opted for the role because the story excited me. Emotional twists and turns are part of it! Aging is a natural process and part of the story. So I have no qualms wearing a white sari.

Do you feel that Kahaani... needs to wind up?
The serial has been on air for six years and is still running because we have an audience for it.

Aren't you typecast as the ever-dutiful bahu?
I have no regrets! I am very happy and content with my career. In fact I feel I am God's chosen one!

Any plans for Bollywood?
I haven't got any interesting roles so far to take up films. But, I am always open to them!

What about rumours of an involvement with Ali Asgar?
I and Ali laugh about this all the time. If a girl is seen with another woman, it's okay. But if she's with a guy, people start talking! There is nothing between us! Ali is a buddy! He is a happily-married man.

What about marriage?
Love will happen in time and I will settle down. Right now I am just concentrating on my work
